Yes, to make it straight once again:

Kult-Fernsehen Racing won't enter the series in S7. VSM, however, will yet stay in the series, also in S7. So, concerning the teams the status quo is if nothing had happened. What I don't know, however, is if this already puts me down the waiting list. If so, I would appreciate to be put in at the end again, as soon as the waiting list opens again (as it's closed for now if I remember correctly).

Well, since it hasn't been announced, I'll do it quite informally: I am to stay at ART as a testdriver for Season 7

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps

Normally when a team which is first on the teams reserve list turns down the offer to be on the grid next season, end's up last on the teams reserve list.

I could be wrong, cos there's nothing in the rules about this matter. Hopefully Marko can give some clarification about it.

yeah, in the past when someone rejected entering the team, he/she had to apply the team on the waiting list again.
there was a request or enquiry recently about that practice changing by someone though.
Dan, Stu said he was doing Austria.:-)

And ad breaks will mean that whatever coverage was at the time is actually missed rather than shown after ;)

Sure Marko,
I know that this is the standard rule right now. Yet there is a slight difference in this case as Rico eventually doesn't sell the team and the situation would be the same if nothing had happened before.
I mean, for me it doesn't matter as I would most likely drop the next offer anyway. I didn't let this chance go past without a reason. But if possible this precedent should lead to a general rule of how to deal with such cases.

I totally agree. No spot was up for offer, so technically he never reneged.

Alpha Racing Team Announcement

After rumors that both Rodrigo Vilela and Carlos Rodríguez would be staying with Alpha Racing Team there was an annoucement made by teamowner Stefan van Renselaar before the Austrian Grand Prix. "We can confirm that Rodrigo and Carlos will be staying with the team. I'm happy for the team, as we need some continuity after signing three new drivers last year. We are showing some good pace this year and we want to continue on this form next year."

Carlos Rodríguez was very happy with signing a new contract. "I am very pleased to stay at Alpha for Season 7, mainly because stability is the key for a testdriver like me if I am to become a race driver for Season 8 (hopefully). Apart from that, ART is a great team, with a familiar atmosphere and mechanically the car is awesome, although it has had its ups and downs in performance. So finally, thanks a lot to Stefan and for now, I'll be focusing in the Austrian GP."

Race driver Rodrigo Vilela wasn't available for a comment, after he was threatened by the mafia. Team owner Stefan said the following about the situation: "We can confirm that Rodrigo is safe and will stay racing for Alpha. After his contract was delivered with a small police excort he has singed it and so he will race for us in Season 7"

This means that there is still one race seat up for grabs, Alpha stated that they will be talking to several drivers about a possible contract.

The following video was shown, when Stefan was talking about the police escort:

A quick word with Adam Davies ahead of Austria.

"I have been training hard this past week which is something that has not been so good for me recently. We have a race format this weekend for the testers and hopefully I can use this to get a good result as I am really starting to fall away from the leaders in the championship."

And on where he will be driving next season.

"I am very happy with Aston and would love to remain at the team and initial conversations on this have been positive."

Well, that's difficult to answer, but I'd say rather yes. It was me who asked Rico to drop the contract but he seemed to be relieved in a way to be able to change his mind. So yes...I had a valid contract with him and rejected it because of multiple reasons. That, however, doesn't change the situation that actually there is the same situation as if Rico had never offered VSM for sale. Again, it doesn't matter for me personally, but a general rule might still be helpful.
