we hope to score more better grid positions but in these weather conditions 7th and 8th places are acceptable.

ROUND 15 - USA GP - RACE

You join us here at in the US for round 15 of the 2003 F1 season. The race sees Raikkonen and Schumacher battling it out for the championship, wit the latter leading the championship.
But who will leave this race weekend in the lead for the final race of the season...

72/72 Coulthard leads Barrichello and Raikkonen into the first corner

71/72 Raikkonen passes Barrichello to take 2nd

70/72 Button is the first retirement of the day, retiring from the race with a water leak. He was running in 16th

67/72 Alonso passes Webber for 9th as he tries to recover from a poor start

66/72 M Schumacher passes his brother Ralf for 4th as he tries to catch title contender Raikkonen who is in 2nd

64/72 Sato is looking quick as he passes Trulli for 7th

62/72 A look at the top 8 after 10 laps

57/72 Alonso retires from 9th with transmission trouble

55/72 Salo also retires with the same problem, he was in 18th

54/72 Panis pulls out of 13th as his Toyota engine lets go

51/72 Raikkonen passes his team mate Coulthard for the lead. There didn't seem to be munch defence from Coulthard there, but who would expect there to be

50/72 They're dropping like flies today as Verstappen is the next to retire with a puncture from 18th

48/72 Sato and Kiesa are both on a 2 stop strategy as they begin their first stops

46/72 A look at the top 8 after Sato's pitstop

38/72 Disaster for Ferrari and the championship leader M Schumacher as he pulls off the road with Transmission trouble. The McLaren garage are jumping for joy. Another retirement on this lap as Fisichella suffers a water leak, retiring from 9th

37/72 Drivers on a 1 stop strategy begin their one and only stops. Confusion in the Sauber garage as they pit both cars at the same time. That mistake has hurt Frentzen who is now near the back

34/72 It's a double retirement from BAR as Sato pulls out of 10th

30/72 A look at the top 8 after those stops. But just moments later and 3rd placed David Coulthard crashes out! Zonta moves into the top 8

28/72 Pizzonia is another retirement of the day as he retires from 10th with an oil leak

25/72 Baumgartner pulls out of 11th with an electrical problem ending Jordan's day

23/72 Kiesa makes his 2nd stop of the day

9/72 Juan Pablo Montoya is putting on a late show as he passes his team mate for 3rd

2/72 Montoya some how manages to close down Barrichello and pass him with 2 laps remaining. This guy is on fire at the moment and Williams must be happy at retaining his services for another season given his current form

0/72 Raikkonen takes the win here in the USA to give him the championship lead as we head into the final race of the season. Fantastic drive by the finn

Nice coverage! :) however, a very high amount of technical difficulties ... 9 out of 11 DNF's having to do with the cars, its seems unreasonable high for me

Anyhow this puts us in an awkward position .. WCC wouldn't not be a problem thanks to Rubens for bringing some points home but Schumi is going to have it hard in the last races to try and take the WDC!
