GP4 and WinXP Professional 32bit??

Hi @ll,
I´m new and I have a big problem with my GP4! I use Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit and I don´t get GP4 working. What can/shall I do?? In which order I have to install these things:

-Grand Prix 4
-Grand Prix 4 Official Patch 9.6
-Grand Prix 4 Decrypted Exe 1.02
-GPxPatch 3.93
-Carset Manager // ZaZ Tools
-GP4Tweaker
(-Mods)

If i remember rightly, my GP4 on 64 bit Vista didn't work out the box, but did work with GPxPatch. I had to put it in compatibility mode too.

Zaz tools was a nightmare to get running. Check out their forums for a solution as I cant remember it off the top of my head.

Your installation order is right.

You have to, after Official Patch 9.6 installation, run gp4.exe in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode.

Hi, its me again!!
Now I´m trying to solve a smilar problem with Windows XP professional. I try to start GP4 but there is always a pop-up and it says something with 0x005b8d3b. I´m German and I can´t translate it in English, but I´m going to try it:

The statement "0x005b8d3b" referenced memory "0x00000000". The operation "read" could not be executed.

Hope someone of you can help me!!!

Have you set gpx to high verbosity and 1 cpu? Do that and post any error logs that occur.

Sorry, but I don´t use GPxPatch and I don´t want, too. But how do I do this??

P.S.: It works with GPxPatch, but I want it working without GPxPatch

Why don't you use GPxPatch? It's a brilliant tool, and if you don't want one the utilities working, you just disable it It's that easy!

But it destroys my T-Cams!
I don´t want to use it, because I don´t like default T-Cams in GP4 with 2008 cars!

and a screen (with the problem)? it's possible to do? press the "PRINT SCRN" on your keyboard, open paint, paste, save in .jpg format, send to imageshack and post here :p

isn't a gp4 screen, OK? is a desktop screen with the error (hex) that you informed ... to know if this error is a GPF (general protection fault - winxp) or a gp4 bug, you understand me? :p
