W300 Season 3 || New series being discussed

Like I posted about WGP, the carset should be released so we can all play and someone can convert 3 seasons' worth of stuff to rFactor!

Merway: Oh man . Now I know how Eric Crouch feels. Shame to see this go, it was so much fun. I confess that this page was one of the first I'd open whenever it was race day. Maybe something like this will eventuate again in the future - but for now, it's been fun racing with you guys.

Bit of a shame to see the series die before the end of the current season, but I do kind of feel we had arrived into a situation where Team Orange couldn't be beaten in the Championship by anyone.

I'd personally love to start a new series with maybe fewer races, the good old GP2 shape, and with new people who are here at the forum NOW, rather than people who used to be who don't keep tabs on what's happening.

If we could agree to something like a 10-race calendar, 11 teams, 22 drivers, no test drivers allowed until there are 22 RACE seat drivers, I'd be interested in running the series as I do have a fair amount of free time on my hands..

Well on this note I would just like to say thanks to Mal and Tom for doing the bulk of running this series, and of course to all the others who helped out at other times.

I don't know if anybody noticed but I never actually scored more points than any other driver who competed in the same number of races as me in either S2 or S3. Therefore I will gladly accept the Yuji Ide Backmarker of the Year trophy with pride!

Sorry to hear this series has died , but it does give me TD Championship by default

The series is not yet dead, when I get home from hols I'll be working on it, the calendar will probably change or something like that but it should be run out till the end. That's only fair to everyone who made the effort to enter.

That's what we all want. There are a few problems though. Interest has completely died. Also, we have only Paul to run the races. If he hasn't got time, series stops. Again. We need to sort that out first.

Well, Mal has run it in the past.

I don't know, I think starting it from the start will be best because intrest will be full and its easier, ie with less races in a season.

Well I can't run it here, lacking a lot of free time but I can say that RaltWest is still interested in racing @ W300... if VDV gets back to W300 so that we can beat them flawlessy in every race

Yeh I'm still interested in being a team manager if someone else can take over the reins. It might be best to create an all new series due to the lack of interest in this one.

I would manage a team, count me in. I had fun driving for RaltWest, but managing in a new series would be good too.
