"The 2006 Mod" by GP4Italia and Tony

Ok, thats it. This Beta Mod has completly screewed up my computer.

So from now on, i'm not touching a Beta anything with a long pole.

I have resolved the problem the mod is perfect thanks.

For who it had problems
1° reistall gp4
2° install GPXPatch 3.91
3° install CSM 1.26 BETA
4° get the decrypted version of the gp4.exe when CSM it demands

I love this mod, everything is looking fabulous!

Small bug is that the drivers of Williams and Honda are switched in the menu.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

a couple of questions: -will you include the 2006 HUD in one of the next versions?
-will you include a 2006 Gpaedia update?
-would you like bugs or suggestions on how to improve the mod to be posted here?

Hello guys,

Great job!!!

I've noticed a little bug.It is about the rimbolt texture.
Just replace the rimbolt.tex from tyres folder to the cars directory i cars.wad.

imo it's not a bug in the mod.
It's more a request for Kizz.It is not a problem of the black line,
it's the logo himself which is flipped.
I'm sure that kizz noticed that and will corrige it for your pleasure.

Now all drivers are right in the menu (changed it manually),
but in the CSM "The mod´s configurables" in the Driver
preview missing jpg.file of Rosberg, Liuzzi, Speed, Ide.

I can't play with the mod, everytime I try to load a race, qualify or whatever, the game crashes back to the desktop. Tried lowering the graphics but it was no help. I can play without any problem with the 2005 mod...

Can you help me?

Is there a guide available anywhere showing us how to use TSM or have we to work it out for ourselves in the meantime??? Im still struggling with it. Loving the mod though, great work!

Id suggest a clean install of GP4, add the official patch and GPX then install CSM/TSM and the MOD. Works perfectly well for me.

You have to install all the relevant tracks,a nd then make the two 2006a and 2006b profiles with them

this seems arrogant to me, locking the cars.
there are people like me who dont want to be forced to use tonys mods and csm to play with these cars. its pretty dumb if you are trying to police the gp4 scene, and getting the spoils for having the cars in your mod and not in others.
"exclusive to tony and gp4" seems so dumb cos i and others dont want to download your whole mod, as we have most of the cars and like to customise the game to our tastes, not to your tastes.

i think this would be acceptable if one person made a full 2006 mod, with every shape etc made by him, so he locks everything, but this is a mod using various peoples works, and i dont get why the car makers agreed to this.

id rather see a car not released at all then released in a situation like this.

I'm in the same boat as you so to speak. I don't want to use CSM.

At the end of the day though, car makers work hard for little reward and to see their work getting ripped off can't be nice. It's unfortunate but sadly that's what the leechers have forced people to do.

Please respect their decision.
