Do you mean : to create this ?

If so, no need to create banks, just create track from .dat in another scene, offset it upper the usual road by a few centimeter and apply a few marbles textures on it (and don't forget to rename objects to anything but trackXX).
That's the way I created skid marks some time ago (last pic of the page).

No I'm talking about banking the track on the left and right to create the crown shape of street circuits

@Super_Alonso : I'm sorry but I don't understand, do you have any photo of a real place ?
Just for information, banking is applied to the full track tarmac width so you can't have different banking angles for left and rigth track sides.

Thanks, you've answered my question

Anyway you can use verges and banks as an extended part of the track (giving them tarmac behavior) and thus use them with a different angle than the "official" banking angle.

I don't know if it is possible, but it will be great when creating walls with "track from dat" to have also the option to create a second row of walls in HD to have a 3D wall.

Fence builder has been designed for that (OK, they are not in HD yet).

well i tried to find but i didnt find the answer.

i read once now you can select multi objects from a scene right?

If so, whats the keyboard shortcut for it?

would be awesome if i could change( worldmap ´em) tons of objects at once.

thanks

Well, no, you can't select multiple objects actually.

There's a workaround anyhow :
create a new scene and move each object you want to "group" in this scene (shortcut is Alt+scene number).
Once it's done, you can displace this whole scene in one click.

hello, I want to know how to animate flags?
I try to reproduce what I saw on a circuit that has animated flags but on mine, but the textures appear but not animated.
the problem may be just how appropriate the different textures to the face.
thank you

I did.
I also renamed the textures atx_flag_chqb.
I've used two that I renamed and atx_flag_chqb_1 atx_flag_chqb_2
I used the same material that option on another tour but I have a texture that appears.
I have renamed the object flag01 mode MISCTSO
is that it works if you use the optional self illumemmissive?

Are the names and materials the same as in the following screens and have you made new flag textures or are it just the original ones?

I did like on your screen but instead of writing "flag_01" I wrote "flag01"
I test this technique for anything other than the flag so it is possible that this fool why it does not work
thanks to you

Laurent, is it possible to have as option when changing position of the track in the dat file for example, you can give in values besides moving with the mouse? By this you can work much more precisely than with mouse movement.

Well, do you really need so much precision ?
I just made a new test and if you move your viewpoint down to a few meters above the track (as displacement scale is based on viewpoint altitude), you can move the whole track as little as 2 millimeters per pixel mouse move...

To be honest, yes. I am a nitpick, a Mr. Perfect. I don't know how 'easy' it can be implented. Also, i'm not a big fan of displacement based on viewpoint altitude, it drives me sometimes crazy.

I don't know yet how I could add position boxes yet but anyway I'm not that much happy with altitude dependant scale but that's the best scaling method I found so far (if you have another idea...)

Because it is somewhat a silly question not worth to open a new topic about it, i'll drop it here. I'm playing GP4 in a 1680x1050 resolution, but it meshes up the font of the panel on top of the screen. See below:

With lower resolutions the font is just fine. Anybody with a solution to get it right again? Thanks.

It's something about changing the font in GPxPatch but I can't remember exactly what
