About automatic REFLECT walls creation, does it follow HD curves? At the moment with add fences the fences will not follow HD curves. I don't know if it is even possible to develop such feature. Anyway, thanks for your hard work once again. :)

Reflected walls are in HD because they are a mirrored copy of HD walls (with 0 flag value).

And for information, fences are still in SD because code is already so complex that I can't add HD to it without breaking the whole fence creation feature. So it might stay in SD as long as I won't be able to simplify/reduce it to something I could clearly add HD subdivision to. That's the way it is.

because it doesn't convert garages' floor.i use to do so:

go to fencebuilder and create a fence that starts from "Pits Start" sector and goes to "Pits End" sector.remember to set it on the right side of the pitlane, and to make it correctly(no height difference from pit banks).then add the prefix TRACK to the new fence, and convert .gp4 to .col;-)

Changing the class of your garage floor object to TRACK will be enough to make them converted to proper .col objects.

I have a question. I've seen in some tracks like in Canada, that there are sectors of the track surface darker than others. How can I make this???
Thanks.

If I remind well, you can do it be inverting normals (Inverting z coordinate is enough) for vertices of the .bin files for the sectors you want to darken.

Ok, I've modified the f1graphics.cfg.....I've put Bump map track= 0,.....and now it works.
Thank you very much Lo2k.

Hi guys!
I am finishing my work in Detroit 1988, but I did not obtain to decide the problem to rain inside of the tunnel.

you have to replace original .bin files with yours modified bin in gp4 game installation folders.

for example:
Grand Prix 4\MAPS\silverstone2001

from gp4 builder user guide:
"Be careful : .bin files have to be updated either in the track wad file as usual but also in the MAPS\Track2001 game folder in order to get the correct wet and dry areas. "

In the past with GP4 3D Editor it was possible to create bin files from objects when you give the objects a certain name. I was wondering if that can be possible again in the future.

I noticed also that some new tracks have their correct trackname in the screen where the grid cars are shown, how is that possible when only the wad and dat file are replaced?

Thanks in advance. :)

Converting .gp4 objects to .bin : yep, it's on the todo list.

Track names and a lot of other things could be added via GP4Infos into the .dat file. So far GP4Builder only handles Lap count and split sectors but a few other informations could be set via GP4Infos. It needs to run the track with GPxPatch thus to be effective.

Is it possible to put track banks on both sides of the track to put "crown" in the road?
