thanks guys :) (and Konst for showing it in game :))

the beta will be ready quite soon. it depends mainly on how CSM 1.26 testing goes, and how soon Zaz wants to let a beta of that out.
but not too long ;-)

For any beta testers, I'm redoing my site, and it will have a little forum. in that forum there'll be a private beta testing section where special users can download any beta stuff (dtm, 95, 05 (again :|), tracks, etc) that is coming up.
but we really need testers, not just people who want the stuff early.
the DTM physics need a pretty good going over, as they are'nt so great right now.
i'll try getting the site and forum up as soon as, and the dtm beta will folow shortly after :)

Would it be possible for me to use this (when the beta is out obviously) as a base for my V8 coupe's? I just want something to work with so I can see I'm getting it at least vaguely right :)

well, dtm cockpit is quite different from real car cockpit. dtm is a kind of silhouette series, the cars have nothing common with regular merces and audis, so the cockpit is absolutely different from regular one. i think it won't make a sence for you to use our cockpit.
you may check dtm photos to see what i mean...

No no no, I just want to use it as a reference, not actually work from it, I've got pictures of the cockpits from the cars I am using, but these would be seriously poly-heavy, so if I make it into a more racing style cockpit then it'll probably a) look better, and b) keep the polycount reasonably low :)

well... anyway you have to wait for a beta. the second thing - beta won't have a real cockpit shapes. it will have lod_0 cars with cockpits. it's overally looks like real ones but low poly. final realease will have detailed cockpit shapes for all cars.
