i'll post some merc screensshots tonite, and Bojan, I dont seem to have a lot of merc photos - thousands of Opel and Audi, but i havent really looked for mercedes yet.
dtm.de has lots, but not very hi res, and mercedes must have some somewhere as audi and opel both have lots of good hi res ones on their sites.
i'll keep looking

heres the promised shots of the mercedes.

@Ulf - these all use the latest shape, and i'm not sure which texture :s.
it looks like the bbs on the merc, and the old one on audi, but i'm not sure.
but whatever it is they look good, and once i tint them they'll look even better.
i'll do some proper testing tomoro and get some screens of each.

oh my god! is this my shape? i love it!
yes, the grills on the wheel archs are missing. i'm to lazy to model them... and it will take too much faces, the cars are already very heavy in terms of number of polygons to add so much more.

Grills can be painted on texture and it'll look good enough.

The wheels at the merc is the BBS
I think the full speed looks ok now if you look at this pic I taken at the main straight.
And I will make a little change at the 3d rim and then make the final texture now that we know the spinning is ok.
