Ahh, it's already done. Admire this amazing screenshot, it's one of my best cars so far. Don't mind the motorsport logo, I just put it there so it adds to realism of the screenshot. Note the reflection effects, shadings, realistic transparency through windows and so on. Now Mckey only has to do damage model, and that's it:

Ok, jokes aside, these DTM cars seem to have this advantage of having big and flat surfaces, not hidden behind tyres like F1 cars, and it'll be much easier to combine real photos with texture. Although it probably won't be as good as on this pictures, I think it'll still be very close to it.
