2022 GP4 Time Trial League (F1virtual and friends) - Season Finished

Hello, regarding the last stage, analyzing the partials, I found that in the last partial I only lost to the leader, but in the 2nd partial I was too slow and the 1st was more or less. Regarding a new game configuration I think the fuel should be 50% (to test if it's enough), as for the FPS 30 I think it's nice and the car setup for me is totally free.

Hi ksezen, Ok lets do that.

But we can still do a Quickrace in Interlagos taking advantange that we already have the track, the settings inside the game
and we are all familiar with the track so we dont need to learn it.

For sure I will have a go at it for Interlagos and it will be a good test to see the overal PO. I will run it with 45FPS.

In this example the PO was less than the other tests that i did last week, because with the settings i had most of the overal PO was around 150%.
In this particular TL race i uploaded i had to turn my mirrors off and put 55minutes of replay.

So this is the first test.

I don't know yet if I can participate in the final round this season but I would like to have it at the new layout if possible :)

I wished you made a mandatory pitstop, but its cool at the moment.
I see there is "Last minute change" button before the race begin, and we can set the pitstop strategy and car setup.

i learned that Shift +L shows the plank and tyre wear. i wonder if plank wear resets after pitsops????

Hi Ksezen !

I made another TL race but this time with a mandatory pitstop.

GP4 1.02 Saved game for track 4: interlagos
Level: Ace / Frame rate: 45.0 FPS
Race type: Quickrace Session: Race (20%, 14 laps)
Weather type: Custom Probability of rain: 0%
Car #2, driven by jorge (ferrari - ferrari)
Power: 855 BHP, weight 611 kg, fuel laps: 2.6
Race time after 14 lap(s): 0h17m21.116s pos 3, 14 lap(s) completed
Qualify lap time: n/a pos 1 on grid
Fastest lap time: 1:12.034 pos 1 (split1 0:17.825, split2 0:54.796)

This time the overal PO went upto 150% but in the individual lap PO it looks normal in fact i manage to make it lower the
PO by by messing with the f1graphics.cfg and messing with windows settings power options to PERFORMANCE.

About the race, i forgot to save the fastest lap, but its a test (Y).
In general the race could have been 5 seconds faster. Their is plenty of things to optimize (Y)
Overal happy and getting the adrenaline back !! ;) (H)

I will try again tomorrow another TL.

In the real race we should keep in mind we have only one try (1 hour). people shouldnt miss understand. 1 try per race.

i did my test, however i lost too much time in pit, i dont know why, may be i afraid to hit walls so slow down... i will check it.

i did a simple excel file, and tried to show the time interval change with laps. everyone can look at the file in my folder.

i recognized that, after a day the files exact upload times cant seen. On the other i can see my own files upload times after right click and "manage versions" button.
it is just an issue of trust, we can overcome it in someway, no problem. maybe i can create drive folder as an admin than i can see upload times.
if anyone has an idea please inform me.

my race was cool, after pitstop i came back into a bit traffic, i lost times. i had choosen semi-pro difficulty, may be amateur difficulty suits best for pit stop.
racing with other cars also gives fun. and you need to think lots of things at once, pitstop, (pressing enter if not) , other cars places, sometimes yellow flags with others crashes.
it was really fun. but my advice is enlarge the length 25% or 30%, race seemed a bit short for 1 hour try. or we may shorted 1 hour.

Note: i remember that we should save the hotlap at pitstop, otherwise after pitstop the laps before pitstop will be deleted by game.
so if your hotlap is before pitstop, dont forget save it at pitstop, press pause and save.

I know we have we have 1 try if it where in championship. But like i said its a test.
I am not new to TL ...
Since its a test, its good to adquiere more knowledge and practice for a possible Quickrace TL championship
then its good to do more tests. We dont score points for testing ...

I saw your race. I dont understand why you race in semi pro, You have less grip ... track modder knowledge.

So, while I'm actually telling you, I'm saying it for those who might misunderstand the format. sorry for the misunderstanding, it's my mistake from english.
You wrote that you are familiar with TL before.
People may be unfamiliar with TL and think, there is no trial limit.
The data you have given is very useful, and I agree on this matter, a lot of data is required to set up the system.
My experience with the track and the game is only as much as participating in a season or two 20 years ago. For example, I didn't know that sempro reduces traction. I was just trying to stay out of traffic, so I made it semi-pro. Then Ace should be best? but traffic really slows you down...

Hi Ksezen,
I havent done a TL since the end of 2008 in the F1VWC, so thats 14 years for me.
The difference between you and me is that i stayed around the gp4 community actively because i went from participating
in Gp4 leagues and transitioned to a Gp4 modder.
In between all that i released the 2007 CSM MOD, i released seasons of internal Steering wheels, etc, and then i went full on tracks.
Testing tracks that we relesed with my partiners and all my tracks updates that i released it required me to drive a bit also so that keept me going all these years.
Their were also a few non TL hotlaps championships like the one in Gp4central in 2017 that kept me going also for a few seasons but it did not follow any f1 calendar
and it was between 8 and 10 events only.

I will try today a TL with 30% of race distance. but i think we need to lower the FPS to 40 because in my case the overal PO goes over 100%
although each lap PO says the contrary.

I did a 30% race distance with TL. I also lower a bit the FPS to 40 and it turns out the overal PO is 92%
and each lap the PO averages around 37% and 38%. This time i managed to save the fastest lap of the car.

Qualify lap time: n/a pos 1 on grid
Fastest lap time: 1:11.910 pos 1 (split1 0:17.765, split2 0:54.727)

About the race i started alright, not my fastest first lap but it was ok and then tried to cruce flat out
In the final lap of the first stint i had to pass several backmarkers in some scary low speed corners.
Then carme the pitstop witch i think it was fast(curious similar time to my 20% race with pistop)
and then it was a little scary getting out of the pits because i came out in 3rd place with the 2nd place car
less than half a second away!!!. So i had to pass that mclaren and then i went to challenge Schumacher in the next lap
for the lead of the race but this CC made it hard to pass and i lost 2 seconds in that lap. I went flat out again and in the 2 final laps it was
scary because i had to pass several Arrows cars(orange cars) in dificult places.
I tried to stay cool and i managed to bring home the car. ;)

Pure Adrenaline !!! loved it !!. :-)

With Ksezen we are testing for a possible Quickrace TL championship next year.
Since Paulo was making the new layout of yas marina we decided to have a go at Interlagos TL race testing.

Also we are waiting on the famous announcement that Paulo is going to do when the season is finished, but he did
initially said he wont do a 3rd season of the TTL. So we have to wait and see what happens.(Y)

In the mean time we are enjoying these tests TL, you can join too. (Y)

OK, thanks for the explanation ! I might try if I can get the time, but it'll most likely be next week in-between my 1998 season of F1 :P
I had an quickrace trial for %30race. this is my result,
GP4 1.02 Saved game for track 4: interlagos

Car #10, driven by jacques villeneuve (bar - honda)

Race time after 21 lap(s): 0h26m38.539s pos 10, 21 lap(s) completed
Qualify lap time: n/a pos 1 on grid
Fastest lap time: 1:13.368 pos 1 (split1 0:17.996, split2 0:55.737)

i had a spin at 17th lap, but managed to continue.
i think i could do 1.13.5-1.14.00 in a clean race, when i push hard as in hotlap, there is a risk to loose control of car.
The race setups should be more reliable, i understood.
the race was reaaly fun, first i need to cache shumacher, than after pitstop i passed irvine and catched 2 more cars at p10, that l spinned and again catched irvine and passed.
at overall, i was almost 1,5 second slower than JCaranti every lap. and results can be seen graphically below.
More driver the race graph will be more exciting, and there will be a story of race...


Quickrace TL will be really enjoying event, i hope more people attend.

Over here i just finished a 50% distance race with 40Fps and i put 1 hour of replay.

The race was ok until lap 18 when a Minardi hit me in the back and made me spin in turn 3 and i lost 9 seconds aproximately
but lucky that it did not damage the car. Other than that their isnt much tell, just driving fast enought but not my finest.
Anyway i enjoyed. You know where to find the files.

I did this so their is more data for the posible quickrace TL champ.
