GPGSL S9 R17 - British GP - Silverstone - Beware of exploding TNRs! [RACE ON-LINE!!!! P62 & 63!!!!][Deadline sending cars & helmets for S10: 1st of March 2015]

Congrats Joseph on the title (B)

More than happy with my performance today, faultless drive was the key to a good result. Fifth in the final standings gives hopes for next season, especially considering the rather bad first half of the season I had.

Post-race statement from Carlos Rodriguez

Well obviously, this is not the way I would've wanted this race to end. Though I believe the mistake was entirely on my side, the engineers told me not to be so hard on myself, because other people totally missed the apex at that chicane, so there might have been an external factor. Maybe some debris or oil from Ruben's car, but that doesn't explain my going off, because that happened as I was spinning...

I told reporters last season that I was extremely lucky with how events unfolded here, with the controversial points system undoubtedly helping me a bit, and that that's why I got to 3rd in the standings just behind the AMRs. However I think I proved my quality with that win at Monza and several other good drives. This season was more irregular, only a podium for me and lots of potential points finishes thrown away. The car wasn't worse - SCR made an amazing development work last year and it paid off now. That being said, I'd like to congratulate Joseph for a deserved title. And hats off to Ed, who proved what an awesome driver he is, no matter what car he's given. He adapted really quickly.

I'd like to thank Rodrigo and Marcus, for their feedback, Mr. Paddock for bearing with me after hitting Charrel, and especially to Stefan, who gave me my first drive. We'll miss you!! Work on next season has already begun, I'm on my way to the HQ at Sao Paulo and I might get some beach time in Florianopolis before hitting home. Quick break, then it's testing time! We're not finished!

Awesome way to finish of the season, points for both of us!

Yep, first win with the big boys. Best results before have been two 3rd places (S9 BEL, S8 SIN), plus one win in the WTC (S5 AUS).

yes! i managed to finish in the top 10 of the championship! =) woo hoo!
Wohoo we won the cup!! ;););)

Feels nice that my debut race was much better than I thought, makes me feel soon I can be a race driver for this team. But can't wait for real season 10 and to see our new engine manufacter.

20th and 21st in the fastest lap rankings, despite having the best team perf and using boost. Right...

What an absolutely gutting way to lose the drivers' championship.

I can understand your frustration, but really, you took the WCC title and should be happy rather than gutted. I had the same phenomenon more than once this season, even with team + driver boost. It's GP4's randomness and we all know it. Plus, when you're at the back of the field, you never drive good lap times in GP4.

Just a shame to have lost out to GP4, after such an unbelievable season.

Roll on Season 10.

Great end to the season for MAC racing...that bodes well for next year. Many congrats to Joseph on his first title and to Michael for a long-awaited, but well deserved race win. I'm looking forward to getting in the simulator to work on next years car now. Hopefully I can be up there winning races too...

Congrats to Gilson on winning the driver championship! Well deserved title for a strong season, he managed to beat both the MPR guys!

Shame for Ed, and really unhappy about my mistake! Again in the last race from a good position, the race was one big random event with lots of problems.. bit of a shame!

But it has been am amazing season once again, my best result in the WDC ever with a 3rd place :-)

Tbh I expected more from this race. The fight for the title was over after just a couple of laps. Sort of an anticlimax to a great season.
Anyway, great coverage, well done. Also a huge thanks to everyone who is keeping this series alive, much appreciated! (Y)
