Seems so!

I have not gotten word of this from the team, but this means no more testing sessions for me to prepare for qualifying/race. Anyhow welcome back Santilal!

I'm not in a good mood at the moment but a unexpected victory makes me a bit happy. :-)

First podium: S8 Australian GP - 3rd at Testers sprint race
Im looking forward to getting back into a car and hopefully it wont take me long to get up to speed.

I am hoping this leads to a race seat, maybe even just for a race to show what I can do.

Paddock Defends Santilal Decision

MPR team boss Dan Paddock has distanced himself from rumours that he was responsible for MAC Racing's decision to terminate Monil Santilal's loan deal.

Paddock told the press that the approach to return to MPR had originally come from the Portuguese driver himself.

"He [Santilal] spoke to me on the phone a few weeks back and told me that he felt that his loan deal with MAC was going nowhere", the Englishman explained.

"He was adamant that if he was going to get back to his best then he needed to have a relaxed atmosphere without any pressure upon him.

"I said that I would see what I could do, and approached Mr McGregor a few days later and explained the situation.

"Of course Nathan wasn't happy and I understood that, but as a team boss you need to look out for your drivers, and Monil is a special case as he is a close personal friend."

The news is sure to spur interest from other members of the GPGSL, as the issue of leaving a race seat for a test drive raises its head once again.

I hope you guys don't think in going over the top with these news articles btw.

As you may know I'm currently studying to be a journalist and I've got to do a news writing exam in a few weeks, so I thought it'd be a bit of good practice, and I enjoy doing them as it adds an element of realism to the league.

Also MPR have been far to quit recently so it's good to have a bit of fun again in the GPGSL.

Charrel has been doing his best to ruin our insurance policy with his Porsche's and speedboats and Russian models.

Good point.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

Santilal returns to the testers arena

Monil Santilal will be returning back to his old testers seat at Martini Paddock Racing after a short stint at MAC Racing.

It is understood that the decision was the Portuguese driver's own choice after a torrent of bad results and a crash at back of the grid.

Speaking at a press conference earlier this afternoon, "Yes, it is true that I will be returning to a familiar place after my attempt at racing. First of all, I'd like to say a big thanks to MAC Racing and Nathan for allowing me to terminate my contract with the team. I hope that we can work together once again in the future but at this present moment in time, I feel that I will thrive in an environment where I can get a decent car underneath me so that I can see where I currently am with my on track abilities. Secondly, the decision was my own and not of Dan the Man nor MPR. It came about after a get together and this is where the subject came up. I wish MAC Racing all the best and to Gianluigi Silvestre in his promotion to the race seat."

Rumours are that MPR are set to leave the sport at the end of year and Santilal has ruled out moves to any other teams on the grid, should the rumour appear to be true.

"MPR leaving? I don't know what you've read in the papers but I've certainly not been aware of that. If you have questions regarding that, you can ask Dan. However, if you're wondering if I've been contacted by any other teams after this announcement, I certainly haven't. Who knows, maybe DXR could rise from the ashes again. But all that's a fantasy. Right now, testing's on my mind."

MPR currently stand second in the constructors with a tally of 212 points.

I find it interesting, man. :)

Makes up for the lack of OTL, which I'm really struggling to find the time to put together...currently I've got quite a bit of the ol' coursework to do, and although I enjoy writing the magazines it's the last thing I want to be doing after a fair bit of work. I hope none of you mind.

I'll try and sort something over Easter.

No way! I need a faster boat then! My current MPR boat wont go that fast..

And my russian girlfriend/model wont like that kind of racing! Doh, I really need to know her name anytime soon :P

I wouldn't be able to cope with the speed of a speeding boat. I fear that I could fall out into the water and possibly drown, and that's not a good thing.
