Maths ?! Any chance that they break some hard coded limits of the game ?

Watching the F1, eh, Charrel?

Nobody noticed when my tweet was read out during FP3 in Singapore. :P

no they are only 8. I have set it up so that they have to setup their own team and manage a budget, sign drivers, sponsors and handle data about the cars. They have to test engines and aero packages...all linked to different maths objectives. Then depending on the choices that they make, and how well they work together I'll just set the perfs to mimmick that. The last two lessons will be the reward of getting to watch the cars qualify and then play out the race.

I laughed a lot at that :-)

That's a great maths schedule. I would have loved that one of my teachers had an idea like that.

Definitely a +1! I would have loved if my teacher had done such things with us, or even show half as much dedication.

VanSmirren Motorsports test release

Today VanSmirren Motorsports held a private testsession at Taruma, Brazil.

The goal of the test was to further improve both the reliability and performance of the Mitsubishi engines. To make sure we got valuable data Matteo Scala drove the Minardi-Motori Moderni.
Comparing the data of Matteo with the 3 Mitsubishi cars made us very, very hopeful for the future.

This test also was the perfect occasion to let Chris get some valuable tracktime, specialy after the early retirement in the last race. However for this test the VSM-Mitsubishi was awaiting him. Seeing how quick Chris got the grips of the new car and from the feedback our engineers got from him, he re-assured us he is the talent we beleived him to be.

Fastest man on track was (who else) Ricardo van Smirren with an 52,787 seconds lap.
We must state the times are not representative as not everyone was on the same program at the same time of the day.

The team is now completely ready and confident for Interlagos !

Oehh private test-session! I would have loved to take part in that, but think it would be unfair! :P

Good to see Mitsubishi testing their engines. If they are not ultra competitive in Season 9 I dont know what will make them a top team..

Are teams allow to test privately? If that's the case then maybe Christel can have a private test session later on. That is if captainfranko will allow it. It would be a good chance to help fine tune the Audi engines so they can be ready for S9. And I'm helping to paint Christel's test livery for the tester's sessions, but I don't know if it will be ready in time for Interlagos. I need to know the font used for Christel's driver name and numbers, as well as the sponsors along the bottom of the sidepods. Once I get these then I can finish the livery. And also, where can I find the Haybarn Glass logo?

There is no rule regarding private tests. Its a game right? A game is meant to be fun, this alows me to have fun :p

Its weird though, seeing it from the roleplaying perspective..

But there are no rules concidering private testing, so all teams are allowed to drive as much as they like :D

Like Rico said, there is no rule that prohibits private tests in the GPGSL. It just won't have any impact on the perfs ;)
