As far as i'm aware from all my experience using fraps its impossible to stop it breaking it down into chunks. Setting to 30fps and locking framerate assures quality is fine and half sized video files will give segments of double lengths, but still segments none the less. As fraps deals with huge high quality files, the concept of having this huge hour long video all recorded in one section is impractical due to the size of the file it would generate.
For complete videos i would recommend softwares such as bandicam, ff split, xsplit or MSI afterburner as john suggested. Or pretty much any screen capture software that usually gets packaged with most video editors will work too.

Yes your totally right of course, and I believe your knowledge is far stronger than mine.
The size limit of a segment seems to be something like 4Go max whatever you do. What I intended to say (in my poor english) was that you can tune FRAPS that way to have blocks longer than 3mn, but obviously for a one hour video it doesn't worth it.

Hello? Anyone still here? I don't get why it's so quiet. Perhaps everyone is visiting the graveyard to show respect to Senna.

when is it taking off? =)
It is rather quiet... I take it we arrived at the right circuit? The race hasn't been moved to the other side of the world has it ;)

"OK, let's start the lap. After reaching 300 km / h, we arrive at the Senna S, curve constructed in the reform of 1989, which brought back the Formula 1 calendar after nine years. Now rounding the Curva do Sol, toward the back straight, overtaking another point often used by drivers. Then, two left turns and we're passing the Descida do Lago, a small straight preparing for the more technical curve calendar: the curve of Laranjinha, which is a mixture of two curves made at once. comes after the S curves and Pinheirinho, until we reach the slowest corner of the track: the Bico de Pato, done in first gear. Well now climbed all over again: Mergulho ... bow Junction, and started the dreaded climb past the Curva do Café, toward the pit straight. a full turn by the wonderful Interlagos Circuit, one of the best and most challenging in the world "!

Look guys I know you are eager for some race coverage, but I just haven't had chance to run any sessions yet. A thing called real life is getting in the way at the moment. Just be patient :)

Our phones and laptops have probably been stolen in a carjacking ;)

That should be impossible with your team. You guys have got Bond cars with bulletproof things. The Lancias on the other hand... ;)
I was less than impressed when I left the hotel this morning and found this waiting to take me to the track...

You think Fiat would have treated us to some new 500s.

What are you currently doing in Germany? The next race is in Brazil! ;)

You'll find that the forum does this. There are natural lul periods where people get on with real life chores and tasks and then gradually people migrate back for a race meet. It's perfectly natural, and like Stu said, we do all have a life outside of this to be getting on with.

I got an Aston Martin to drive around Brazil, not quite the one I was expecting...

LOL Jack. But see it like this. Finding a parking lot with a full AM sportscar would have been basically impossible. With this cute thing you have a good chance to find one, at least.

the colour is horrible, though

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
I must confess, I like it! But I also like the poison green of the Ford Focus RS, so maybe I'm a bit special in this regard.

it reminds me of those matchbox cars that change colour when heating them up. maybe it will switch to the focus green if you put it into hot water ;)

Man, those where awesome.

I've been on the phone to Fiat and they are gonna hook us up with a couple of their new 500 Abarths.
