I think Australia is already taken. So you'll need to choose another nation.

Team Ireland

Seeing as we missed the boost deadline, it's not surprising we did so badly in qualifying. This is going to be a tough race.

Team Ireland can also confirm that we will be on the grid for next season.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
@truecrysis, any chance the race can be uploaded in the next few days?

Holy crap man, have some patience! People have lives away from their computers! Yes, you asked nicely, but give it a bloody rest....

Well, we need to post to be avtive, and if there is no race we can only ask for it to be posted.

Only joking, take time, we can wait.

He was only asking a question as it was stated numerous days ago that it would be posted "tomorrow". I think it was a fair question.

Big expectations for the race after the first Pole Position... Go! Go! Go!

-----------------------------------------------------

It's a very quiet pitlane here in Imola. Everyone's waiting to head out to get the race started, but there's no sign of the RD. Wonder what has happened to truecrysis that has caused a unnecessary delay?

This is a True Crysis ;)

I guess Connor have troubles again with connecting to the cyberworld.

Round 16 - San Marino Grand Prix - Race Part 1!

Hello and welcome back to San Marino for the race session of Round 16! After qualifying yesterday set the scene for the race, a delay in coverage has finally subsided and we are welcome to see how the next race in the championship unfolds. The sun is back out for this Sunday afternoon and so lets get underway with the San Marino Grand Prix! (Sponsored by BT: Not bringing you internet when you need it).

The grid is set. Portugal is on pole and to fit with the older layout of the track the stewards have set up an old fashioned start light system. They don't seem entirely sure how it works but when the green light comes on it will be a go...

And we are GO GO GO! A pretty standard getaway from the whole grid as we go side by side through the first corner. Slightly bogged down from Vukcevic and Girard may well have got the jump on him.

Still side by side all the way through the field. Portugal looks to have secured the lead but Alvarez may have got passed De Boer for 2nd. Further back Australia has got ahead of Japan, and Bulgaria ahead of San Marino.

At the Tosa hairpin with Spain and Netherlands together, but De Boer gets a poor drive out of the corner and Spain manages to take advantage to steal 2nd! Kung may also be able to take advantage of that slow exit...

Nope the Dutch driver is able to get up to speed and put a defence on to keep his podium slot and the South Korean car behind him. Further back Girard has gone from fighting Montenegro to defending himself from Japan.

It seems he also got a terrible exit from the hairpin which allowed McGregor to streak past and left the Frenchman under pressure from Kamikaze.

Looking back down the grid for the start and it was a pretty conservative pulloff from Cremasco until he was squeezed incredibly by Taytoh to drop him back to last.

Some of the biggest movers at the back as they filter through the Tosa, Monaco up two from 21st to 19th, whilst Cauncaunibuca falls two from 18th to 20th.

Coming up to the chicane at Turn 5 and Vukcevic is having a look up the inside of Kung. It's fairly tight into that corner however so both drivers stay where they are.

A point quickly echo'ed by Kederer who banzai's himself round the outside of both Nikolov and Silvestre, clipping the US car in front of him.

No harm to Austin as he gets through safetly, but Silvestre seems a little surprised to see the German inside him and gets a little out of sorts. Kederer not resting on his championship lead!

Before Silvestre can sort himself out Nikolov sneaks through to take 12th place, with Silvestre 13th and Kederer 11th. We have a yellow flag though, we'll need to go back and work out what that's for!

It seems Grimaldi has come in a little hot into the chicane is his Monaco machine and has locked up, can he get himself stopped in time...

The answer is no and his driven straight into the back of Tung! Chung is out on the spot as he loses a rear wheel. Monaco is still in it but will need to pit for a new front wing after that.

In the confusion Cremasco has got himself alongside Taytoh, but there's on room for one car in that corner and the Irish car can't help but go wide to avoid an incident.

He keeps the wheels spinning through the grass and out the barrier to get back on the track. The light green irish machine sits right at the back of the order now. Also the confirmation of China being out of the race after all that.

Taytoh won't be last for long however as Grimaldi makes it back to the pits for a new wing. It's going to be a long afternoon for the Monegasque as he now finds himself a long way off everyone.

Girard having a look at regaining the place he lost to McGregor but the chicane doesn't seem to be a wise place to attempt an overtake as he leaves the complex under attack from Kamikaze.

At the front Silva isn't pulled away from Alvarez as much as he would hope, in fact the Spanish driver has cut the lead down to a quarter of a second and could soon go on the attack...

Behind them however De Boer is in danger of losing touch as the lead pair begin to fade into the distance after just 3 laps.

The pass through the chicane again for Vukcevic and Kung but there is still no space for the Montenegrin driver so it stays as is.

A repeat of that but with Kamikaze trying to make a move on Girard this time. He gives it a far better go but there's just no room through there and the Japanese cars seems to be heading much wider than he would have wanted!

Kamikaze keeps it all together to get back on track but not before conceding two places to Argentina and USA and just about keeping the train headed by Germany behind.

A small mistake for Nikolov at Variante means that he finds himself under heavy pressure from San Marino, Italy and Great Britain. Behind them Copeman makes a very similar mistake to earn himself a train of Philippines, Mexico and Fiji.

That bunching up has given Tafuro the chase to attack Silva going into Rivazza... And he makes it stick! Great opportunistic move in the Italy car, he'll hope for more of that.

In the second train coming along Cauncaunibuca tries to pull the exact same move in the exact same place... and he too pulls it off! Another great move to profit from the error.

Alvarez is now putting the pressure on Silva at the front and the Portugese driver just checks across to remove any opportunity of attack,

Whilst Tafuro does the exact same to try and make sure the move had only just pulled sticks in place. No major attack at the moment however so he keeps his slot.

Five laps in and things have begun to settle down so it's the perfect opportunity to get the standings of the field. Unfortunately the graphics weren't sorted properly so a simple list will have to suffice for this coverage!

And that's the end of part 1! Still plenty of laps and action left in this race so make sure to stick around for the rest of the coverage!

Hope we can make it to the podium
Nothing going on with us at the back, though this is not a surprise

Can't believe yet another retirement for us at Team China, this time through no fault of our own. Oh well, one more round to go and then we can start focusing on season 4.

Round 16 - San Marino Grand Prix - Race Part 2!

Welcome back to part 2 of the San Marino Grand Prix! When you left us only 5 laps had passed and we had already lost 1 competitor, so lets head straight back to the track to catch the next part of the action in this race.

As we rejoin the race Kederer has a bit of a moment into the chicane, locking up under braking. It doesn't result in any problems but the German will want to avoid that as much as possible.

Tafuro is now onto the back of Nikolov and considers going onto the attack into the first corner but decides against and slots in behind.

It's not long before the Italian goes back on the attack though and he has to be incredibly alert to avoid collecting the back of Nikolov's machine, which he only just manages.

One lap later and it looks like Alvarez is going for the lead into the chicane! He's not measured that right though, and there's been contact been the top two...

It's only minor contact however and both men get away with just a bit of time lost with Silva hopping across the kerb to keep his lead. The Spain car now has to contend with De Boer behind him with that incident putting the Netherlands car right back in the fight.

Despite all the incidents to have already occured at the chicane everyone still seems content to attempt a move there as Vukcevic looks at Kung again. As usual he stays behind and will have to keep an eye on McGregor.

The sight of the leaders seems to have revitalised De Boer as he takes a look up the inside of Alvarez into Tosa. He's not ready for the full move yet so slots back behind.

Tafuro drops his concentration for a split second at Variante and a lock up looks to have given Silvestre a chance to sneak himself passed...

But the italian isn't going to give that place away without a fight, and he's squeezed the San Marino car so hard that Paddock finds an opportunity to get himself a position! The British driver came from nowhere, great quick thinking.

Having got away with one mistake merely two laps earlier, Tafuro has slipped up yet again at the penultimate chicane. He carries far too much speed and exits very wide, will he get away with it as easily this time?

Nope, that's been one mistake too many for the Italian as he allows both Paddock and Silvestre through with that one. He's going to hope he can get those positions back sooner rather than later.

Perhaps distracted by the incident just down the road, Sarosa gets the final chicane ever so slightly wrong and that loses him momentum for the entire drive down to the hairpin. Both Cauncaunibuca and Cremasco are happy to take the places given to them.

The chicane at Turn 5 has been a bad overtaking spot so far this race but all that means nothing for Sarosa who steals on of those lost spaces back. A lockup for Cremasco allows the Filipino driver nicely through (The car is definitely Sarosa!).

Lap 9 and the pit stops have begun, Alvarez is the first man to take his stop from 2nd place. His mechanics may well have misjudged that stop though as the Spaniard drives out the pits right into the middle of the Tafuro-Silvestre scrap.

Two more attempts at the chicane with little success. Firstly Kamikaze tries to find his way passed Austin, whilst Alvarez makes a desperate move to free himself from traffic. Nothing doing.

Netherlands, Japan, Fiji and Ireland all come in for their first stops of the day.

De Boer comes out the pits... and he's ahead of Alvarez! Traffic has caused the issues for the Spain team, and the flying Dutchman has profited to take a net 2nd place!

Meanwhile Monaco has company for a small part of this race, at least until he takes his stop. Fiji slots infront of Grimaldi whilst Taytoh is behind.

The tyres of Netherlands don't seem quite up to speed yet and Silvestre looks to take advantage of that whilst he can.

Both cars still side by side into the 2nd part of the complex, there isn't enough space and Silvestre has turned across De Boer... contact! There was no room for two cars and with that the Netherlands car find itself facing the wrong way, completely undoing all the good pitstop work.

Silvestre loses just to one position to Alvarez who manages to clear all the rucus unharmed. The Netherlands car gets itself facing the right way, but the true scale of the damage won't be known until the pit stops sort themselves out...

Almost a repeat of the previous incident there as Fiji and Monaco get very close but luckily for both there is no contact whatsoever.

The pitstops continue as both Vukcevic and Silvestre make their way in.

That is very tight! Vukcevic exits just as Alvarez goes passed and it's going to be a drag race between the two all the way to the hairpin...

Which Vukcevic manages to win. Alvarez really has lost out over this pit stop window so far so he'll look to get ahead as quickly as possible.

Monaco and France head in for their stop and perhaps a nice beverage.

And that's part 2 wrapped up and done! The coverage is about half way through, with plenty more to come yet so make sure to stick around for the 2nd half!

Round 16 - San Marino Grand Prix - Race Part 3!

We are at the halfway point of the coverage and part way through the first batch of pit stops. Still plenty of action to get yet so lets get straight too it and go back to the track.

Paddock now heading in for his first pit stop of this race.

Quite an important battle for the championship between these two drivers as Bulgaria and Germany fight it out. It's Germany ahead for now even at that attempt by Nikolov.

The fans in the grandstand at the chicane getting good value for money as yet more action. This time is Alvarez looking to regain lost positions by getting passed Vukcevic. He gets it all wrong though and there's contact between the two men!

No damage done to either car but Vukcevic has to go across the gravel to keep the car going. Alvarez drives by to take the position, possibly one of the scrappiest overtakes today...

And the momentum loss proves to be even worse for Vukcevic as Girard also manages to find his way passed to drop the Montenegro car further down the order.

More pitstops and its the leader coming in for his stop. It's crucial the team gets this stop perfect. McGregor also brings the car in.

We've seen plenty of mistakes today but this is the first one at Rivazza. Cremasco locks up going in and has to take the long route through the gravel to get back to the track. The mexican loses a lot of positions with that mistake.

Silva is out of the pitlane and all looks to have gone smoothly. Portugal sits in 4th after that stop so that's a very safe net 1st place.

Australia also leaving the pits and McGregor has kept his position above Girard. That's a net gain of one with Montenegro having dropped back.

Italy is in and out cleanly, Tafuro sitting back behind Silvestre after his stop so that scrap may well be back on once everything sorts out.

Kung has been enjoying the lead for a small stint but it's now time for the Korean man to take his stop.

And he comes out to a drag race with Alvarez in the Spanish car! The momentum isn't with the man leaving the pits however and Alvarez manages to dive infront to keep his 2nd place spot after a lot of fighting.

Canada, Argentina, USA, Germany, Bulgaria and Philippines. A big batch of drivers coming in for their stops now as it seems the window for the first stop is close to closing.

The Argentina team has done a fantastic job with the pitstop! Domenech finds himself right in the mix for a good batch of points sitting in front of Australia in a net 4th place!.

De Boer still trying to recover as many places as possible after the incident with Silvestre and there's an opportunity with Austin leaving the pits. The American is alert to the threat and closes the gap to keep his slot.

Cremasco has come in to pit row and that means everyone has completed their first stops as expected now.

McGregor may be a little annoyed to have lost out to Domenech and seems eager to get the position back. A little too eager perhaps as he locks up and gives the Argentinian a little nudge into the chicane. Domenech glances the gravel trap but manages to keep his car in front of McGregor, with Girard and Vukcevic ready to pounce.

Austin may well struggle to keep the Netherlands car behind on his colder tires as De Boer takes a look up to the inside of the chicane.

But the American definitely doesn't plan to give up that position easily and there's contact! De Boer has got himself slightly airborne!

And that is a heavy landing for the Netherlands car! The front nose and front right wheel gone so that's the second retirement of the day, we just hope De Boer is ok...

Kederer comes through and can't get himself slowed down in time... Austin is out of this race. The American had no chance of getting out the way and Kederer couldn't avoid the incident in any way.

Trying to avoid the German car, Kamikaze ends up going the long way round. That loses him a position to Nikolov who manages to slip through without incident.

Kederer has to make a second stop in short notice to replace his front wing after the collision with Austin. This could be a good chance for his rivals to catch up in the championship.

So after the first set of pit stops and that incident have been sorted out we have the standings. Silva still sits at the top now with a fairly comfortable 9 second lead.

It seems those standings show South Korea ahead of Spain... And there it is. Alvarez went wide at the final corner, allowing Kung to grab to momentum and take 2nd place!

With a new wing, Germany find themselves way down the order nearby Monaco in 17th place.

A lot of people have been caught out by the chicane newly installed for this race, this time its Taytoh and Silvestre. Silvestre locks up, Taytoh gets a shove across the gravel and manages to keep himself ahead of the San Marino car. Tafuro finds himself a lot closer to the pair.

Part 3 of the coverage is complete! The leaves just one section of the coverage left, with 20 laps of the race to go. Plenty of time for incidents to happen and the order to change so don't go anywhere!

Good race so far, we need to keep this pace and maybe if Silva make some mistake we'll be able to take the first position
Silva is trying very hard to keep the first position and give to Portugal is much wanted first win.
