what its BS if you don't agree with it? It is my opinion and if you don't like it you are welcome to jump off a bridge.

It's probably that kind of short sighted nonsense that annoys him (and me as well).

They're not going to be great, but the Toyota TF110 chassis should be quite a good one to use for a new team, and they do have some Toyota staff helping them out. And if they can get Nakajima and Ralf/Grosjean/Senna, then on paper they shouldn't be that much worse than US F1 with Lopez and Valles or whoever else they get.

The problem is, it's not their design, so they've no comparative figures from carried over designs, no track data, nothing. It's not even being manufactured by the same company, so it wouldn't be even remotely equal to if Toyota themselves were doing the manufacturing. The shape will be the same of course, but the weight, strength, stiffness and how it deals with stress will be totally different to what the parts were actually designed to (they were calibrated to Toyota's in-house manufacturing processes if you like).

Presumably that won't make a massive difference in the long run, but even at my most optimistic, I struggle to see how they can be even remotely near a potential pace for the opening events, should they be permitted to enter.

Wings can break even with teams of years of experience.

Sauber that year in Brazil had to pull out as their rear wing collapsed.

Minardi had front wings breaking in Spain.

Arrows had front wings break in testing in 1997.

List goes on.

They fixed the problem in a day, thats good going if you ask me.

Stop being so pissy because you've been called out and the failings in your retarded comments highlighted. As Nickv says, you posted annoying short-sighted nonsense, not for the first time either, and now you're throwing a strop because you can't handle the truth about it. And FYI, people are just as entitled to bash your opinions as you are to post them if we think your comments are stupid, so that immature argument doesn't even hold any water.
Do yourself a favour and quit while you aren't ahead. The jumping off of bridges will be saved for annoying little trolls like you.

Back on topic, and yeah, there's nothing unusual about wings breaking in tests; it's one of the very reasons why the testing is done of course. And Virgin seem to have dealt with it fairly nicely, which fits in with their impressive run of form since starting the team.

My point exactly. Countless times you've posted subtly inflammatory comments provoking other users into getting annoyed at you, then you react to their annoyance by trying to play the victim. In that sense, you're the very definition of a troll.
Well, I highly doubt the mods will be fooled by your behaviour any more than I am.

Well Fauzy has done about 16 laps and isn't last on the time sheets, quicker as he is than Hamilton.

Obviously this means diddly squat... but it's been a relatively reliable start.

Tbh, 6 seconds off the pace so far is a minor miracle for the team, great job I think.

Plus with the weather like it is... we're unlikely to see any dry running.

Virgin yet to do any laps today.

And just as I say that, me ol mucker Timo is primed to do an installation lap.

Sauber are quick, even though obviously on low fuel, they could be a dark horse.

The track is also drying... so that'll have a factor in laptimes.

Good to see the track drying, maybe we'll get a clear afternoon if the showers stay off. Good to see Timo out on track.
Also, looks like Lotus have relatively few teething problems, which is a good sign.

They certainly seem to be a bit more active on the track than Virgin.

Sauber are definitely the dark horses this year. I would bet money Kobayashi gets a podium or two this year!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

Bloody hell the RBR pace on a long stint, the rest must be worried now.

Was only a 7 lap run so not as good as I thought

His stint before that was impressive though.

Still, the whether is clearly still having an effect given the times, so it's hard to gauge.
