Interlagos plus rain, awesomesauce.

One of the best qualifyings in these years.

Well said Rodrigo, agreed. :D

Its the 4th Brazilian polesitter in a row as well!

EDIT: And Rubens had it in 2003 and 2004 as well, so an incredible run for Brazilians on pole at home. Hopefully Rubens can finally convert a win at home.

Wouldn't it just. However, Vettel's out of it.
how cool are rubens' kids on tv hahah!

A somewhat ridiculous qualifying session with an immensely interesting result. I feel sorry for Williams a bit, who got gazumped in the final session, but delighted for Rubens.

Complete disaster for Vettel and Button. The only saving grace is that Rubens + Brazil = retirement, and they need that continue, and Vettel needs rather a lot more on top.

I think the last time my heart was missing that many beats was... well 12 months ago. As qualifying goes, that was some session.

During Q1 I was pissing myself on behalf of the drivers. I had visions of someone going off up the hill and it wouldn't be pretty with others following, possibly without any real warning. I was staggered we got as much running as we did before the 2nd red flag. Scary stuff.

All in all, despite only having about 45min of running in 2 hours 45 or whatever it was, it was some session. The race is going to have to deliver something else to get close to that.
wow what a great quali, one of the best!

Rubens was awesome, glad to see him get pole here and with button so far down, its making for a good race!
I felt so sorry for vettel, big shame he didnt make it through.

Unlucky the rain stopped for the williams and Kimi, they looked better on the fullwets.

what are the forcecasters saying in terms of a wet or dry race?

Fantastic performance by Rubens.

But for his bad luck in a couple of races, he could be right up there now - so could Vettel.

Button proving once again that he is fine when the car is great, but not good when he has to overcome a problem.

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)
I really hope Rubens can steal Jenson WDC, he really deserve it

Missed past Q1 today...

From what ive read it was not so much the car with Button Sam but the choices he made with tyres. He said it himself he should have gone to inters. These are errors but then we saw them 12 months ago, it happens.

Tomorrow will be good. Shame about it being at 5 though :p

Simply a guess and based on what I saw in Q1 but tomorrow will depend on who has wet setups and who has dry, and of course the weather. Williams looked like wet all the way whilst Vettel and Lewis looked dry.

It's Brazil and its Rubens. I think everyone would want him to win.

Rubens is too light compared to Mark and Adrian. He needs to get a major gap to do it. And wowzers, look at Kimi. He's in contention for a win should it be dry
Quali was amazing! Race should be fantastic - I really do hope Rubens can get a win here. Was in a way quite happy to see the end of Quali bumped to BBC Two - for some reason BBC One's reception on my TV has gone absolutely shockingly crap this week - all the other channels are crystal clear, even FIVE, so I have no idea, but in terms of the end of Quali, woohoo! I could watch it live on iplayer but my internet connection is...well...kinda dependent on what several thousand other students may be attempting to do at the same time... so it's not always pretty :\

Didn;t you have it on the Red Button? I had no transition problems.
How about this for statistics, Out 16 Brazilian GP's that Rubens took part in he finished.....5 times.

Gah, I'm up at Uni with just an old (yet I *thought* perfectly fine) TV - no Sky, no Freeview, nadda. I'm sure that my laptop's screen is larger than my TV's - except the quality of the picture that the laptop will show - thanks to my internet - isn't a patch on just watching it on my TV - when it works...

Still, I have every intention of going home for the weekend come the last race - as long as my parent's TV hasn't gone on the fritz again I should be laughing. It's just a question of getting back up to Nottingham on Monday morning...

Sutil didn't pit for Inters either, yet made it through to Q3. Got to agree with Sam, its great when the car is there, but as soon as a glitch comes along he's nowhere, slowest of all 14 runners in Q2.

Webber didn't put inters either and ended up with best time

Jenson is cracking badly in qualys
