technically those three teams that are contracted can just enter some crappy car, that has 5HP and just go around the circuit in 25 minutes, with no sponsors or branding.
the fia will then just have to dq them and that's that, send 2 team members, they set up the car and drive it themselves.
bernie and the fia will probably sue for bringing the sport into disrepute or something.
alternatively they can just build a car that fails the crash test, then the fia and bernie no ground to stand on if they can't build a safe car to compete.
i've always seen max as a cancer on the sport, always trying to bring it down, his intentions may have been good, but it has hurt the sport too much.
the budget cap was way too low, they should have made it 125mil, as the lowest funded team gets around 80mil, then bring down by 10mil a year. he's just been too stubborn, like me, i can't be bothered to capitals right now, and that's damaged the sport.
for me, there hasn't been anyone to replace max or bernie, and lets be honest, they are getting on a bit, and stuck in their ways, they just can't see clearly anymore.
for me, f1 lost some of its sparkle last year, and this year, although its nice to see small teams get a chance at the front, but it doesn't have that grandeur of ferrari versus mclaren, you know the big boys going at it.
we'll just have to wait and see where this goes...
ps, even if fia and bernie threaten to sue, they all can just fail the crash tests, that's the easiest way out i believe
