3. Glock Toyota 1:20.091 128
4. Vettel Red Bull-Renault 1:20.576 83
5. Alonso Renault 1:20.664 64
6. Massa Ferrari 1:20.677 92
7. Kubica BMW-Sauber 1:20.740 134
8. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 1:20.869 70
9. Buemi Toro Rosso-Ferrari 1:21.013 62

Shame a certain member isn't around to see it ;)

@ Monza, that T-cam is just the Pitot-static tube they use in testing to measure air flow. it'll be normal for races

Some might say he got banned just in time. Shame really, I'd have loved to see him try and back up his claims Rubens is past it and the BrawnGP car is utter tripe.

Even the Ferrari mechanics can't believe BGP pace, one said it's impossible for them to be 1 second faster than them, so if true it means that Massa time yesterday was a qualy run. Man I am so freaking exited I have absolutely no idea who is the fastest car other than it's very close between Ferrari, Toyota and BMW, while BGP is "the fastest".

I think it should be noted for reminder that Brawn are not running KERS. This could explain some of their decent pace. Without hauling that 20-30kg around in one place they can use that weight to better balance their car.

i think what we are seeing is the effect of a non KERS car with a favourable weight distribtion against a KERS equiped car with a less than optimized weight distribution.

but when checking long runs Ferrari is 0,5 seconds faster than BGP.I don't believe we have seen true quali lap from ferrari yet. even Kimi said that they haven't pushed 100% for any special laptimes.

However how are we also supposed to know Kimi has never pushed 100% to achieve a top lap? As always, we have to wait until Melbourne to have a much closer to reality idea of it all, but this pre-season stuff is very good and puzzling ;).

I saw on other forums that Jenson did some 20 something stints in the low 1:20s to low 1:21s, if true that is faster than Massa's. But yeah I find hard to believe that they are more than a second faster than Ferrari or BMW or Toyota for that matter.

Everyone is comparing Brawn with Prost in 1997...i think Brawn would happily take the season Prost has in 1997 (minus the Panis crash of course)...didn't Panis manage a couple of podiums and end up on the frost row in Spain? And looked like a contender in the Argentine Grand Prix....i know they didn't live up to the pre-season testing but they still turned in some fast weekends, (Trulli in Austria too).

Ask Ross Brawn if he would like the same results as Prost in 1997...i bet i know what'll he'll say!

(I won't mention 1998 though.....or 1999.....or 2000.....or 2001!)

They are comparing it to the Prost of 2001. Running underweight cars to attract sponsors with their 'good' test times.

Yep it is in reference to their 2001 testing times when they were fastest...I appreciate your point though, Prost were good in 1997, damn unlucky due to Panis' accident, but then again, it was still pretty much a Ligier car at that stage, AND they had Mugen-Honda engines, which were pretty decent engines.

I thought I read a while back that Honda (at the time) had the most advanced KERS system.

Honda will probably be kicking theirselves hard if BGP ends up winning the championship (they won't though ;)).

Of course they will.

I'll be hugely surprised if the initial pace doesn't go Mclaren/Ferrari > BMW > Renault...

He was a @#$%& idiot. I do apologise for flame baiting earlier but I didn't fancy the prospects of another season filled with his banal patriotism and ridiculous outbursts. I'm glad he's gone.

Surely it would be a bigger surprise if Mclaren didn't turn up to Melbourne? Its a bit of a waste of an investment not to attend the race...

Lol ! most likely, i didn't see a single other brazil flag all weekend! as for the horns LMFAO! it must have been you!! did you see by per chance a ridiculously posh family appear partway through the race, with little public schoolboys to the right, near the top of the stairs?

it is weird, i remem your facebook gp photos and im pretty sure i can see myself in the background of one of the gp2 races LOL
