GP3 2000 MOD "UNIVERSE": F1 1985/1996-2015 & 500+ tracks

Hi every time I go and choose a season on gp3 selector it says "windows can't find gpxpatch" I've followed all protocols via the readme. My pc is a windows 8 64 bit if that makes any difference.

did you:

1. make a dir "c:/Gamez/..."?
2. install gpxpatch4.22 into that dir?
3. copy all of the mod into that dir?

is there any way i can get fraps to work without slowing my game down?

i have to tone the graphics down a lot to make it run smoothly, and that's in practice mode, when there's only one car to simulate. it's terrible in a race, really really slow. (even with graphics toned down)

2 things I did to make it work:
-used a new version of fraps (not the free one!!), can give it to you when I´m back home in a week or you look for a torrent..
-recorded with 25fps & used 1/2framesize

this worked on a dual 2,8 ghz with winXP

I've already got a full version of fraps

1 more thing, how did you get it to record the sounds being played through the speakers, rather than the microphone

..if I correctly remember it´s just a matter of setting the SW ->look for options..

remember you need a new(!) version of fraps. sorry, I can´t tell you now which I used, but I remember the first I tried was an old and free full version, but it was slow like hell.. seems they really optimized it since then.

I have the latest version, 3.5.99

I tried all the sound options in the sw (none worked)

I've sorted it temporarily by twisting the microphone so it's right next to the speaker

the sound quality is bad because of this, but its better than nothing!

I figured that with my headphones, it automatically selected the microphone.

If I take the headphones out, and then record the sound through the normal speakers, its fine.

Although the sound quality is moderate

Ut runs smoothly now too

..something still seems to be wrong with some paths. AND you are the first "driving" @windows8 -but this must not be the problem. right now I´m still travelling but will be back home on thursday. gimme time and check your Personal Messages here at forum then -I´ll send you a little progi hat could hopefully solve this problem easily..

It's a case of everything works without any issues though as soon as I race or callibrate the graphics go wierd and GPXPatch is nowhere to been seen.

ok,

1. install gpxpatch4.22 again please (into mod-dir, of course)
2. reload a season with "GP3SeasonSelector"
2. do a one(!)-time grafic-calibration at game-startup (ignore gamecrash!)
3. goto game-dir and post gconfig.txt and try to edit it to these values:
...
[Software 3d] good 128 1 1280 3 1280
[*your graficcards-name*] good 128 1 1280 3 1280
[*your graficcards-name*] good 128 1 1280 3 1280
...

4. never do a grafic-calibration again (wether at gamestart nor at grafic-options inside game OR make your gconfig.txt "writeprotected"
5. inside game do sound-recalibration

I downloaded it and installed just how you said but I have a problem...
When I want to race the game is VERY VERY SLOW... and I don't know why... but when I want to see the processor ocupancy, pressing "O"... it says "Processor Ocupancy - 700 %" but it changes sometimes says 150% - 900%... and I saw in Options - Graphics - Advanced and I press "Test" not "Recalibrated"... I press TEST and the game is fine, and during the test the Processor Ocupancy is 70% - 100%... I think that hte problem is in the processor ocupancy I don't know why becuase my computer is new

- 3 GB DDR3
- ATI Radeon HD 5450 2 GB
- Windows 7 Home Premium

Please tell me what to do...

here's the gp3sound.dat file which you can put straight into your samples folder, and include in your next version of the mod
