Wow so you just assumingly had a go at him for something that he did actually do, crowing that it serves him right because he didn't do it and now you have the audacity to come out and say that you didn't do the very thing you were putting him down for "apparently" not doing in a "well it's your fault" manner. I personally didn't as I assumed that no oneby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
ah yes sorry vesuvius must be right - i did not remember correctly since I have not played gp4 for so long. It is a shame that we still have this problem but i guess it is just something that cannot be solved. Unless it is possible to somehow remove the lower LODs of the painted lines?by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 4
Either find the right (or corresponding) character in the character map and use that manually, or put each item in a different column of a table and just do bullet points normally for each cell.by Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Wow that's amazing - all this time i thought it was not possible as I remember being told that it was an unfortunate problem that could not be solved. I wonder if there is any way to change something in the cfg to do it.by Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 4
Oh I meant a screenshot inside the game showing how it made the lines better Also I don't have that option on my card as it is ati - only anisotropic filtering which seems a bit similar but doesn't help with the lines painted on the track. Thanksby Daniel Knott - Grand Prix 4

What is actually happening are you sure you are not getting any signal from it. You might need to change stuff in the windows audio settings. Go on the properties in the volume control thing and then go on "recording" and press ok and you can see what you have set to be the selected line in for that device. You seem to have an odd number of jacks on that soundcard :S Pink is normallyby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Yes, indeed. Although it seems for these solid state things defragging takes like 2 seconds :O :O :O Mind you I shouldn't let mine get in such a mess - it won't actually defrag parts of it - I will end up formatting soon anyway. I'll probably end up putting a bit more ram in this for xp since its so dirt cheap - how much can xp support? 2gb? or is it more? currently have 1gb anyby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Yes cos I saw you could get a 3850 512 AGP new for £85 but the I doubt I would really need anything that high and the rest of the pc would probably bottleneck that. I guess I may as well try it for £40 at least. Eventually I will have to get a new pc mind - but probably worth waiting for a bit until solid state drives or something? Or is that going to be a long wait. It just somehow gives theby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Hmm it was the motherboard. Sadly couldn't get a pcie one so just ended up getting a second hand "new" replacement of exactly what I had. On a side note, is £40 a waste of money for a second hand 512mb x1950 pro? (agp)by Daniel Knott - Off-Topic

Naboo - you don't have the same problem, as your computer actually works - this one doesn't hehehe :P And yes, the thing is I don't know anything about new computers or things to getby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Hmm the thing is the button on the front buzzes through on the multimeter when pressed. There is no display on screen or anything when it "turns on", no motherboard postbeeps either. The light is on on it though. A strange thing is - before it all died, there was a very odd thing happening (i think since its last repair?). You had to turn on the computer from the front, but it woby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
So i put my computer in standby mode and then when i came to turn it on later it wouldn't work. Got a new powersupply and as soon as you turn it on at the back, the computer comes on (nothing on the screen) as if the motherboard is broken and not waiting for the button at the front to be pressed. So it seems like the motherboard is broken. Not too much a surprise since it has died quite a feby Daniel Knott - Off-Topic

That's a rather aggressive tone you have there. In terms of petty jealousy, there is none. I could not care less about my position here, however I find it rather disgraceful that apparent moderators (ex or otherwise) take it upon themselves to try and wind up a member in order to get him banned. Are you sure the looping wasn't in the imported avis already by mistake (or wmvs if it was in the titles). That does sound very odd though hahha but at least you maanged to sort it.by Daniel Knott - Off-Topic

Hmm I can't see any problem there, it looks pretty normal. Mind you I don't think i've ever used the trimmer though. Are you sure it's not looped in the source media? Or it could just be some weird thing about the trimmer.by Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
Crikey, version 4 that's amazingly old! Er if you could show a screenshot of the bit in the editor of where the problem is (and the dialog or effects (the icons one the right of each clip) then it might help but I am no expert really.by Daniel Knott - Off-Topic
