Chrome is great, but sadly there are firefox addons I'm not willing to give up (Edit: and the tab bar doesn't scroll)
And the vast majority of visiters here will almost certainly use IE - saying it&

Off-Topic Resurrecting this thread because there's a couple of problems I'd like to point out:
Firstly, the site banner is messed up. On Firefox the grandprixgames.org text moves up out of view if the window's more than 1600px wide. On IE, I can see the logo in the banner twice! This could really have done with being fixed by now.
Also, it'd be nice if the new style quote featu

Off-Topic The G25 is a good choice if you can find one for a reasonable price (they're pretty rare now) - else the Driving Force GT is quite good, and there's the more expensive and better G27 too.

No problem
It isn't a brand new version as such, it's just that some places (including gp4db I think) still have a really old version up

Grand Prix 4 Is GP4.exe set to run as admin? Long shot, but might be worth a try.
Otherwise other than a reinstall I'm not sure what to suggest.
Edit: Actually, I don't think that message exists in the latest version of ZaZ Tools - uninstall it, and download the latest version from

Grand Prix 4 As mortal said, there's absolutely no way to identify the cause of crashes without using gpxpatch (and it also avoids some crashes occuring too). Why you wouldn't want to use it I can't work out, and I'm not sure what you mean about mods messing up your game, but that's another matter.

Off-Topic It may be because of how Josekast has manipulated the shape of those 2011 cars (converted from f1 2011) to all have the same wheelbase - which I don't understand, as I would have thought it would have been far more sensible to maintain the proper wheelbases - I don't use them so I can't help I'm afraid

Grand Prix 4 Exactly - you need a newer cockpit shape with a higher nose. Try downloading NickJW's 2011 cockpits from his work thread - the file includes a newer cockpit shape (2008 by Renault#1fan I believe)

Grand Prix 4 I'm not sure deadzones can be set in GP4, only a low sensitivity zone (though I'm not sure exactly how that works). Have you tried recalibrating the wheel in the contoller setup menu though?

Grand Prix 4 Actually, I don't think zmodeler 1.07 needs a plugin - try that
The reason you can't open gp4 files with other programs is that (as should be obvious from the name) it's a format only used for gp4 - you can open them in gp4 builder but it's not a modelling program.

Grand Prix 4 Have you tried patching GP4 first?
Otherwise I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe try and download a different f1graphics.cfg file and see if it works.

Grand Prix 4 The .gp4 files are the 3d files you're looking for which contain the carshape - the psd file is just the car texture. I presume you need to import the gp4 file with a plugin into zmodeler, then assign the texture file converted to tga to the model.

Grand Prix 4 I have to say, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone keep up the pretence of such a feeble and ludicrous excuse for piracy for so long, even in the face of all the people who just aren't falling for the rubbish coming out of your keyboard
But besides, if you think we're idiotic enough to believe you just re-read the posts above. Interesting that you didn't actually respon

Grand Prix 4 Just to add to the laptimes thing, they're definitely too quick but I'm not exactly sure why - certainly there's too much grip and front downforce, but that alone can't account for me being able to go (ligitimately) round Singapore in a 1.34 during a race with tyre sim on and lowish fuel without DRS. And this was even without the setup spring stiffness bug.
In addition, th

Other Games The handling is certainly better, but not perfect - there's now too much low speed grip and the rear's too loose through high speed corners (at least with TC off) plus the car is far too stable still when accelerating from a standstill without TC - the overall grip is such that with tyre and fuel simulation on and all aids off I can still go round singapore well under 1.40.

F1 There's a much easier way to enable all driver aids at all difficulty levels:
Just add the text below to the end of the mod's perf file(s)
Aid1=895
Aid2=895
Aid3=895
Aid4=895
Aid5=895
Remember that with a csm mod you'd have to do that for every perf file it uses: either the perf file in the data\patch folder of the carset, or files in a perf directory if it has track

Grand Prix 4 I'd agree with the above - just to say though, that looking at specs such as memory clocks, cores etc is pretty pointless if you're buying a graphics card - you should just look for real-word data: benchmark comparisons in the games you'll be playing, noise, temperatures and power consumption
Just to add that in my opinion the 460 probably hits the sweet-spot in terms of price vs

Off-Topic Hi everyone
Having left batracer a year or so ago (shortly before the ferrari naming fiasco that led to false names for everything), I've returned and am enjoying the game again.
Since the F1 2011 carset has now been released, I'd be happy to play in a GPG private game if there's enough interest from the community - as the last game we had was a few years ago if I remember co

Other Games You probably have an integrated sound card (in the motherboard) which may be at fault, or it may simply be a software/drivers problem - I'm afraid I can't help you much with this though.
The graphics card is (almost) certainly not at fault though - as far as I'm aware, it has no role in processing sound ingame at all.

No chance with that graphics card (If you can call it that).

Other Games I don't know about the second question (though isn't there a setting for that in-game in the advanced sound settings bit?), but for replacing engine sound, you would have to create a sound folder in your csm mod directory, put your files and folders in there (e.g. game_snd.bnk, and presetx_ engine sound folders) and use the swap file to put them in the gp4 sounds folder

Grand Prix 4 It means no clean wad has been found - i.e. it cannot find an original cars.wad
If you run patchdownloader.exe in the csm install folder you can download the 9.6 patch and a fresh cars.wad and install it.
Please try and exercise a bit of common sense and initiative before you come running to the forums after every message from CSM

Grand Prix 4 ^^^ What he said
Because while the game itself looks for the track files, so they must be named according to the track slot, the tex files are addressed by the .gp4 file and so their names can be anything, not just the trackslot name (so you don't rename them).
