Thanks. I'll give it a try, and if it works, expect a new soundset to appear in the Downloads section within the week lol.by Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
Exasperrated user!! I've been working on a soundset for the last week, and now have it completed. Well - that is to say, I have the replacement WAVs ready to transfer into GP3. But no matetr what format they are in - even the same xxHz format, bitrate, length, filesize as the original - GP3Master will not let me load the sound because it comes up with an error 'Sound is not a valid WAby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
@ andrew_s More often than not, the best F3000 drivers never end up in F1 (e.g. Jorg Muller, Bruno Junquiera, Sebastien Bourdais, Darren Manning, Gil de Ferran...) but people often forget where some of today's stars made their mark: Juan Pablo Montoya Olivier Panis Justin Wilson Fernando Alonso Nick Heidfeld Mark Webber Ralf Schumacher ...to name but a fewby Locke Cole - F1
Gui, that's really confusing lol! You've managed to name all THREE of the Trilogy episodes as the same film, and try as I might, I really don't know which one you're on about!by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
The cars have improved a dramatic amount since the GP3 season, which is based on 1998. The Barcelona track can be lapped some 7 seconds faster nowadays than in 1998! And hen you consider that straight-line speed has not increased noticably in that time, it must be cornering speeds that have gone up. If you have any old videos / season reviews of pre-1998 season, watch them It's surprisingby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
I don't really distinguish between them, I only tend to look at things as 'Good' or 'Bad' and all 5 films to date are bloody good! I can appreciate the view that 'the originals were better' because it is a natural human pre-disposition to feel more comfortable with "The Original And The Best" but for me, who was only introduced to Star Wars 6 years agby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Excellent news in my opinion, obviously not for the Brits BUT F3000 is so often overlooked, and it produces some great drivers. Pantano is one of my personal favourites from F3000, so I'm delighted he's got a drive, if this story proves to be true.by Locke Cole - F1
SmokingPen - looking forward to those Paul Ricard tracks! I have the Marc Aarts versions (complete with CC-line fix for the last corner) but despite this, the cars still fly off there when you try to run cars with less grip than usual (e.g. F3000 spec). So a working Paul Ricard would go down very nicely thanks!by Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
I've had a look in the track folders and not all of the tracks had GDB files. But I was able to simply create one and hey presto, the track worked fine! Cheers. That IS a handy little trick. Now all that remains is for me to try and get the rest of the F1RST tracks. Is there a server I can link to directly to download them, rather than through F1RST, because unfortunately it isn't worby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I've got the latest version of F1RST. I'm not really interested in playing online, I just want to have the full selection of tracks available. At the moment that isn't happening - do I need to have 2002 season selected to run the downloaded tracks or something? Because I'm running the RH2003 mod, and it seems odd if you can only play the F1RST tracks in one season set.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
This util is the bane of my life at the moment lol. Firstly, it fails to load properly half the time, and then when it does come up the background often displays the 404 Error screen. Secondly, when I try to download tracks it will cancel halfway through and start agin, before cancelling again, etc. And finally... all the tracks which I HAVE managed to download don't appear in the game.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I've been trying everything with that F1RST 2 util for a while now and I can only find 3 downloads for F1 Challenge, and none of them are tracks. What on earth do I do with it? The programme looks a mess, which can't be right because so many people are using it successfully. What's going on?by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Warning to all future posters: Wear a helmet to stop Jacki biting your head off, because he does so sometimes without taking in the full context of the post :pby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
That looked staged, but I suppose in America, anything is bizarre enough to possibly be true...?by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
marcl, I can tell you're a McLaren fan just from this thread alone lol Trust me, McLaren are THE best team for organisation and planning, they will have everything under control. I'd hotly tip them for victory in Oz... and this coming from a FERRARI fan!by Locke Cole - F1
I must say I'm impressed - last year's Jordan was just appalling to look at... and even THAT was an improvement on 2002... But let's hope they keep that new livery because it looks the business, and the shape of the car is one of the nicest to be 'launched' so far (fromt he side anyway). Renault - take note!by Locke Cole - F1
OH MY GOD!! Laughing here! HAHA!! Guys, check it out... in tears on the floor!!by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
That Toyota really does look old compared to the others... which is not a slate on Toyota but more a testament to the other teams. What a lot of new, inventive ideas we have on the grid this season!by Locke Cole - F1
lol, after all that debate on seats... I've never stayed at either, but I'd recommend a hotel simply because it's easier to pack up and get outta there in the morning. The only disadvantage would be if you like your cooked breakfast in the morning! Oh, and book MONTHS in advance.by Locke Cole - F1
I'm defending Sepang because we always see overtaking there, and we have yet to see a dull race there - in my opinion. Also, there are very few countries with such unpredictable weather, which adds an extra element of uncertainty to the race.by Locke Cole - F1
This rule is good in principle but it hasn't been thought through - as can be seen by the many examples above. I've always been against any penalties which move drivers back on the grid because it disproportiantely punishes certain teams over others. This rule should have been introduced 2 years down the line, following a radical re-design of engines which would allow the core componeby Locke Cole - F1
In my view, the latest modifications to the Hungarian GP have made overtaking a real possibility, BUT they have made the Hungaroring a very close copy of the Nurburgring. In lieu of this, surely one of them should go. And yes, following the 'Germany has 2 races' argument, I'd prefer to see Nurburgring ditched, because Hungary is a beautiful country and has worked hard for its Granby Locke Cole - F1
There are a number of good British tracks out there, all of which have been mentioned above. A lot of them are quite processional with F1 performances, but just try running a season of F3000 and the races really come to life! In my opinion, the best ones out there are Brands Hatch, Goodwood (superb), Donington GP and Crystal Palace - I haven't discovered your graphics pack for Snetterton Heby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
No-one has mentioned Bern-Grauholz or Rouen in there - my 2 favourite custom GP3 tracks of all-time! Other than that, a damn good selection up there, agreed. I'm not too keen on Cleveland or Laguna Seca (GP3 versions) but Mid-Ohio certinaly does rock. I have too many custom seasons to post the tracks up here, but there are so many good custom tracks I don't bother with the F1 circuitsby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
If Monza was modified to look like that I would be brought to tears :p Nothing against the layout, I just wouldn't want the 'traditional' Monza to change... I've never been keen on the new first corner either. None of them seem to have many overtaking places, apart from the Korea track. Still, it makes for an interesting ideaby Locke Cole - F1
OK, a lot to say on this subject... Firstly Iceman, bring F1 to Birmingham would be a FANTASTIC idea! lol (Brummie speaking) Secondly, regarding Tilke, let's withold judgement until we see the tracks, please? I personally regard his Sepang circuit at Malaysia as one of the best racing circuits in the World, and I have confidence that Bahrain and Shanghai will both be good. However, thereby Locke Cole - F1
Thanks LS, that is probably the most useful post I could have hoped for lolby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
You might just be best off sending it away for a few days to be fixed... that way you run less risk of damaging your files. I know that isn't exactly shedding any light on your problem but if it were me, that'd be my course of action.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Just downloaded and had a look... Nice work! I already have a 1995 carset but it wasn't really worth putting in the game - this one is a dramatic improvement. I'm combining the 2 sets - using everything from your 1995 mod except the cars, and putting in the JAMs from my other set. Thanks, finally a playable 1995 season! Let us know if there is a v1.1 or anything in future! P.S. Goodby Locke Cole - Grand Prix 3
