Yep, it's "normal"...in a way... I mean i don't know why but 4th and 8th cameras don't display your car neither arcade overlay...so just use another camera to do it. I havn't found any workaround for this : /by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Good Job Dumbass !! Very usefull. Yep, they seems to let some X-Box things anywhere in GP4 (in strings too).by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
hehe, hopefully i did some .cam file export, i can see it is really usefullby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
As T-Cam isn't in the camera pack and i havn't found where it is, we can't edit yet. But I just released a new version, using GP4 cameras order (so you can see that T-Cam is the 10th one) and allowing load/save camset for GP4 or GP3. If i could find exact T-cam coordinates (x,y,z), i could find the T-cam quickly i think but for now i havn't them, sorry.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Dumbass for the way to do it and thanks -qwerty- for having made it for me during my absense It's very kind.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, Sorry Jon, I just took exemple on your post and copy /paste your path :/ I saw that i wasn't the only one not knowing how to add image reference in post, maybe this can be add at bottom with other tags, it would be easier for everyone...by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
here are 3 screens i took some hour ago, not too bad, huh ? <img src="; /> <img src="; /> <img src="; /> In fact i just did an onboard camera editor and if you wish you even could grab it from my server here: (Please, if someone from GrandPrixGames.org or any other site want to redistribute this tool, i will be very pleased to let you do it, but just send meby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yep, one axis isn't the best but it is better than nothing. About The Thrustmaster, it is near perfect, great FFB, good wheel surface where hands stay firm. 2 small bad points. Wheel surface tend to left in small cahoutchouc "dust" for a time but grip stay here and after some time it stops. I had to change springs of both pedals of mine after about 1 year of use but guys at Thrustby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
bump mapping is only seen on the trackroad. It adds plenty of little "bumps" to the road surface and give a speed effect on dry road when you are at high speeds. It can be seen on wet road too even if the darker road give the effect less visible. This effect is independant of the road texture color/appearance, they are 2 different things, bump mapping is a separate layer on top of theby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, if you know how to edit tga files (and their alpha channel) and you also know how to extract tex files with gp4master, i think you know all you nned to edit files. The way to do it is the following one: 1 - Extract wad file in a folder with Gp4master Wad workshop 2 - Browse tex files in the just created folder and select the one you want to edit with Tex workshop 3 - Choose extract selectedby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
And if it's isn't enough, just disable separate axis for brake/accel in the joystick property page under windows and it will be fine (I have a Thrustmaster FFB too and it's working here without separate axis and give menus selector mad with them).by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yes it always come back out of the race when you came back to windows first. And some times, screenshots taken that way don't show car car/cockpit. A usefull tool as been released some time ago, allowing player to save multiple screenshots without leaving / swithcing GP4. It's called FSScreen 1.1 and you will be able to found it here, thanks to Matthias Holzer: It's has been creaby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
And no reflections are even close to reality (GP4 still use some cubic environment map even if reflections are disabled). The only bad part is that this map (when reflections are disabled) isn't dynamically calculated : /by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yep, dear Dumbass When i came on this forum i never though we talked about that story again, but better is to talk about it now and clearify it now than staying with missunderstandings. No problem, Morbid, I was surprised you remind me that for my first post, that's all. About Extension, it's sure Infogrames will release some years pack as we can see the structure of the Grand Prixby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Oh ! I understand what you mean Morbid. Sorry about that but I effectively made a big mistake when I wrote my signature...I wished to write GP4Master and CarsetCreator4 because I did icons for both, so I will correct it, even if I also did Carset Creator 2000 icons too (since v2.3 at least)by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yes, you're right, as AI even let CCcar go onto grass to avoid you if you exit too outside of a curve and yes, i think too that the "only one line change rule" is not really respected, but as in real, it's not an easy rule to apply correctly. And i may add than I'm not such a serious guy eitherby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, but that time has passed, maybe you didn't heard about it but after this event I finally can talk with Jon, of course our first posts were a bit stressed but finally we stay correct and as Gap from SDI forum asked me I finally accepted to help Jon. Now we are good friends, as I am with Sven and the best proof is that I made all icons for both editors. Hope it is clarifying the situationby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, Hi all, I'm new on the forum even if i follow it since a long time, but i finally decided to register as this forum is a bit more "serious" than others i know. Well, so i wanted to tell you about a test race i did on Indianapolis where AI stupefied me. Red lights shut down and all cars run straight away, I'm in the twelve position about. Then comes the first right corby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hi Bruno, Yes i know your work for GP3 and 4 as i already use many of your tools. I'm, as you, concern by realism in GP4 and always want to push it even higher. I was apart from community for GP3 but decided this year to be active in it, to enhance the game for all players pleasure. I can't for now bring you some track editor, but i saw that Paul Hoads is in the good way, so we could sby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
