You can do that on the 360 by pressing start then its one of the options, it puts your car back in the middle of the track.

welll.... i dont know if this has been mentioned... but using a keyboard with this game is not good!
now i know that GP4 is better with a wheel, but the only problem with using a keyboard on it is the lock up with the tires?

but no F1 2010 has other ideas for keyboard users... this may just be my bad driving but i dont think so

the car is on automatic, and the engine constantly over revs with a keyboard, and well the steering and braking isn't great...

glad to see that Trulli isnt just doing this to me lol- same thing happens on the 360 xbox version. Also game thinks that hispania are the fastest new team by some distance. Was doing ok against Trulli until spain where he was 1.5 seconds faster per lap.....???? In the wet though i seem to be like Senna and Schuey combined lol, oh and Alonso seems to win all the races, bizarrely

Off topic slightly, has anyone got a xbox360 wheel? Are they any good?

Was put off console wheels by the original xbox wheel which i thought was crap! Took me ages to get one for pc to play gp3 etc, but glad i did because it makes it vastly better game. However dont want to lash out for an Xbox one if they are still not as good as my logitech pc wheel

HRT tend to be the best of the new teams when I'm playing as well. And I also had exactly the same situation in Spain, the entire field pulled away from me at a second a lap and I finished last by quite some margin.

Just found this mod which has totally transformed the game for me! It's a 25% damage increase which doesn't sound that much but its how I imagined the game would actually be. When you hit bollards you knock bits off your front wing and a spin into the barriers will end your race. Maybe a bit harsh but definitely stops you from ploughing your foot down and not worrying if you knock the wall or not. Another side effect is that I found myself endlessly looking at replays of crashes going backwards and forwards etc.

A nice tip in replay mode is to pause (F1) and then if you go forward (F3) but hold down back at the same time (F2) you get super slo-mo! No mention of this anywhere on the manual which was disappointing, but it makes replays even better.

Does anyone know how the hell the difficulty in this game works? i was on expert, i changed it to hard and all of a sudden my car got turbo boosters and super downforce, it didn't seem to affect the AI much just made my car a whole lot better. This is still with no aids in both cases.
So when you change the AI difficulty it seems to change YOUR car? that doesn't really make sense.

I thought the game was easy in a Lotus, got promoted to a a RBR car now I am on pole by 2 seconds :(

I still feel the best way to play this game is online.

People seem to have got better now and have learnt how to race, the problem for me is I am so worried about taking people out I tend to wait for them to make an error rather than try and pass.

Any fix to DISABLE the stupid penalty system? I know it's necessary to have one, but to have none is better than this sh&$!

Not hopeful but very wishful!

to be fair, I have a top of the range wheel and F1-2010 is absolute horse @#$%& with it. Its much more playable with my PS3 pad hooked up to the PC.

On a different note, i find it hilarious that its easier/cheaper (i.e. free) to get a PS3 pad to work on the PC than a 360 pad.

Thanks to the bugs, I can't really progress upwards. di Grassi now NEVER pits, which means he's getting @#$%& podiums, whilst I'm fighting for low end points at best. So he has more points, more podiums and more "out raced" awards in the team mate comparison. So I can't even become the lead driver of the team, nevermind hope for a better contract.

That is @#$%& pathetic.

Yes Dave , it's absolute rubbish on so many levels.

Our only hope of finding some value is the modding community, and that's a really disappointing fact to face up to when you consider there are enough lemmings out there to have already justified F1 2011 (which I'm betting will be a texture update).

The problem seems to be the game can work in multi-player on line. So the logic is with so much wrong with the single player, we only lose a percentage of the total value. And those oblivious to the single player shortcomings get full value.

This release should have been a total embarrassment for CM, but they are going to break even.

Unfortunately the egg is on our faces for buying the load of bollocks we were sold in the Dev videos.

And next someone will probably tell me i'm driving wrong and there are no bugs...
