It's a replica Ferrari F10 steering wheel.

I am thinking of buying a ps3 for this and gt5. is the issues like graphics you mention the fault of the game or the ps3? can a patch ever fix the graphics?

I reset my ps3 settings and messed about with my tv and it's improved things alot, less jagged and smoother in races now

LS's Tip of the week
ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

Thanks, okey... but...

It's mounted to something and the gear
shifters work etc. I also see it's moving
so it should be some kind of a simulator rig.
Try to see what it says on the side, it's GT
something. It looks nice... 4 sure.

I also found the GT Omega Racing rig and
it also look very good. But having a replica
F10 wheel working on a game would be great!

I reset my PS3 to it's original factory settings and messed around with my LCD monitor settings and aspect ratio and it's improved it massively

Fps is now smoother and the jagged edges have now gone and it resembles the YouTube Pc videos ( albeit not at such a High res)

If I race in a mercedes instead of a shiny reflective mclaren or Ferrari it looks and runs really well, and I just raced in few grand prixs and really enjoyed it

Monaco in heavy rain and Singapore night race in particular looked awesome

On PC, I have an unsupported wheel, so in controllers I had to select 'Custom' and set the controls manually, which works fine.

BUT it has this silly deadzone which I want to remove, but my wheel isn't officially supported thus I can't access the advanced settings.

I went to the keyboard xml in the f1 2010/actionmap and changed both steer_left and steer_right deadzones from 0.2 to 0.0, which obviously didn't work.

Would have thought there would be a 'custom' xml file in f1 2010/actionmap, but there isn't.

Thanks in advance.

Would someone be able to assist in converting SchueyFan's 2010 garages to the game?

@ Mclarenaustralia: Maybe you should ask to SchueyFan first....

Anyway, here are the F1 2010's garages textures (in DDS): [www.mediafire.com]
You should use the dds plugin for photoshop to work directly on the original files (without converting them in tga) to keep the best quality possible: [developer.nvidia.com]

Hope this will help...

I am just racing online at the moment as there is no point doing much else due to the pit stop problems when drivers do not stop, I have lost so many points and wins due to cars not stopping.

Online is fun even though people are idiots and just ram, but I now just tend to hold back let them go off at the start get their penalties and win.

That's what I try and do too - doesn't work so well when you're on pole though! The number of times I've been taken out at turn one does start to grate after a while.

Pole is the worst place to start unless there is a fast corner i.e silverstone, I led that race start to finish.

Monaco they all cut the 1st corner and then crash at the next lol.

Monza all off at turn 1.

I just let them get on with it but know what u mean, I just sit there and think idiots. I spend the 1st lap going past all the wreckage.

We need to start a private race for us.

When i play online, i do exactly the same, i hold back and try to clear the carnage, but i also get hit no matter how careful i am.

If we can arrange a time where we can get 5 or 6 of us on, we could have some great races and make it weekly/daily event.

We can even invite others who we know race clean.

There was this one guy online who had a high rating and it was great racing him in Spain, we both gave each other room and were near enough side by side until the 4th corner when some one spun us both into the gravel :(

[community.codemasters.com]

3 things could have happened here.

1 - Codemasters haven't played their own game.
2 - Codemasters think the community are morons
3 - Codemasters don't give a f**k

Take your pick, because that reply is full of sh*t.

Well even on their 'best case' scenario they've seriously screwed up a lot of calculations.

Althugh (and I fear that I'll get shot for this) I can believe that the AI race problems are caused by messed up calculations regarding AI fuel consumption, race pace, easing off etc. Just don't understand how they could have missed it before.

I see the logic in the bit about qualifying and speeding up time, but how did GP4 do it?

I've got the game on Xbox, and I'll be up for multiplayer - Cooperman41 is my tag.

Lots of games do accelerated time. It's just a crap excuse from Codemasters because they couldn't do it properly.

yes, online can be fun when you get a good game, but it can also be very frustrating.

you can also get penalties if you hit someone who has spun in front of you...

I would definitely be interested in some online races, although the timezone could be difficult for me in Australia.

Got really fed up with it tonight people were actually saying ram him take him off. In the end the person kicked people out so it got better but by then I had enough.

Advice for anyone thinking of buying this:

Don't. Unless you 're going to play a lot online, the game is so broken and CM have demonstrated that they are (currently) so clueless about how to program AI that it will NEVER be fixed with a patch. I would urge you to wait until 2011 and see what people say it's like after the release date. This current version is utter, utter bollocks, there are so many issues I can't even write them down. GP4 was and is ten times the game that this mess is. It really is a massive shame, I think it has potential, but I honestly don't think it will ever be realised due to incompetent designers.
