My Logitech DF GT works very nicely and I think I'll be able to make the poorman's cockpit in my living room :D. I'll sit on the carpet resting my back on the couch/pillows, have my small lamp desk in front of me to clamp the wheel, then have the pedals at an angle and resting on what probably will be cardboard boxes setup against the TV stand (very heavy) so they don't move. I'll be maybe 7 feet away from my 40" TV, the screen will be big enough :D.

Due to the oz dollar pwning at the moment, I had a look at dave's suggestion of shopto.net and decided just to order it there and then. I conveniently used a paypal account that I only recently discovered had money in it, so I feel like i'm getting it for nothin'. Win!! This is for ps3 I'm talking about, not pc. Will defs write a review for you lot when I get it, bearing in mind the last review I wrote was for big rigs racing. Dave, the site asks how you heard about them when registering, I listed you as a 'friend'. Hug it out?

Maybe a dumb question but will there be a demo to download and try before you buy?

I'm really surprised how many opt for the console version. Do all of you have racing wheels for the consoles?

I just want something to relax with. If I want to break out the wheel I'll go iRacing. But sometimes I just want to sit back and relax, with a game in a similar vein to F1 97, and this appears to be that kind of game.

I don't see the advantage to using a wheel for non-sim games.

360 version here. No XBL though.

I'm on XBox Live, so I'll go for the 360 version, I think. My Gamertag is Slevmeister - feel free to add me if you want.

relaxing or not I still want consistent lap times, I can't achieve that win a controller.

@ dahie, most of us are consoling it because our PCs can't run it ..

Seeing as us PS3 gamers will race each other online at some point, and you only get the choice of one team (i.e you can't be my teammate)....
