Interesting, when I was playing the game when it was first launched, and a few patches later, the AI was dreadful. I'll have to give it another go. Does the AI overtake each other now as well?

Hmm, I may get the 2007 version then if it's good and if I ignore the STEAM horror stories :P

Yeah, the AI have very good battles, and they do overtake themselves, but they do battle alot...a very nice improvement!!! It sure will keep me waiting for race 2007 :)

It seems RACE has improved considerably since it was launched. My only niggle now is that the AI aren't quite as aggressive as I would like, and they have a strange habit of getting in your or another cars slipsteam, and instead of pulling out to overtake they just hang back, and I've even seen them braking behind another AI car on the straight on occasions instead of overtaking. Its particularly bad at Monza.

Race '07 does look rather promising though.

Pretty much agree with FRESCO. New RACE Patch's have been a considerable improvement on the previous iteration of the game. I now pretty much have my FFB how i like it and the AI are considerably better they do some rather cool things like flash their headlights when angry or if you swerve. The stones and dirt of the windscreen and stones cracking it add to the immersion also.
A shame i suck at Monza with the WTCC cars. Caterhams are good fun though as are the Mini's and 87 cars.
These screens however are from the RACE conversion to rFactor. More freedom of circuits ;)

the DTM mod is fine, it's great fun on technical circuits such as on Hockenheim or Barcelona. Though lots of people play on Norisring and most of the online stuff is there...But it's not good having noobs on tracks with long straights and tight corners...
