Nick, he has on several occiasons fell badly ill. Often before tours, though some are considered and known to be attention seeking. Which many people thought this was too.

His health for a long time now has never really been great! Obviously over the last few years he has got worse with the stress that has come his way and the rumours, accusastions from rather sick minded people did not help things. Its still a shock though. Great guy, great music and great dancer. RIP. Thriller, though already a best seller of all time (still is isnt it?) is gonna get even more popular!

Sheepy, havent ticketmaster confirmed money back yet? I believe for a few people that has been the case if you got your tickets there.

A sad loss, hopefully he is remembered more for his music than his controversy.

RIP

I still can't quite believe this TBH, I've been listening to the tributes for him on Radio 1 all day. So sad.

He was the kind of person who seemed immortal somehow, one of the few who was truly a legend in his own lifetime.

This is popular music's biggest single loss since Freddie Mercury. A dark day indeed :(

wow, you're right - in the Australian store, almost 30 of the Top 100 Songs are Jackson songs, and 7 of the top 10 albums.

Ah I didn't know that. I reckoned that if he was very ill I'd have noticed in some way :P

it's a sad loss, but not much of a surprise really. he's looked increasingly frail and thin over recent years, not helped by his ongoing surgeries.

he's been on painkillers for a long time and even more so now that he had started to rehearse for the upcoming shows.

although he was 50, he was still very child-like mentally, he didn't seem like a responsible adult who could take care of himself without all his helpers around him.

he was the biggest entertainment icon of my lifetime without a doubt, he's our Elvis.

i wish he wasn't involved with children the way he was, and i believe he was guilty of many of the things he was accused of, but from an entertainment view, he was amazing during the 80s and early 90s and i was a massive fan when i was younger.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Innocent until proven guilty, I think you will find he was found innocent ;)

No one will ever know the truth.

It has been caught on camera, moms throwing their kids at Michael and into his cars. I don't doubt that once he did something but I think 99% of the cases are made up, as it's been admitted before.

MJ's dead?
Hmmm no wonder.....Michael Jackson hasn't been this stiff since Macaulay Culkin came to stay over for the weekend.

Apparently he died of food-poisoning - from eating 12 year-old nuts...

And before the storm of protest, that's one of the most harmless jokes that arrived in my inbox today!

What kind of an argument is that? If you kill someone you are a murderer even if 99 other cases you've been accused of have been made up. You abuse one child and your a child molester regardless of how many other stories have been made up. I have a zero tolerance policy in this case.

I don't welcome his death or take pleasure out of it. I just f*cking hate all these "R.I.P. to celebreties" threads. My answer always tends to be SO WHAT?. Everything dies. It is obscene to have like a 100 mails about MJ's death when in other places of this f*cked up planet innocent kids get blown to pieces by land mines or harmless citicens die because of military actions or suicide bombers. One dead pedo doesn't count much in the face of this.

Was he ever a proven pedophile?

Was it not always a kids word against his? A kid which by saying he was "touched" probably recieved a good few $.

Im with Mika, innocent until proven guilty.

IMO the people just as sick as pedophiles are the people who tried to steal money of him by claiming he was pedophile. Imagine the parents of a kid telling that kid to say to people he or her had been 'touched in his or her special areas'. It's awful and I do believe all of the cases against him were false and just money grabbing attempts.

But you have your opinion and I have mine.

Those 100 cases are still 0% guilty until shown otherwise... but anyway I still detest the bloke.

So equally predictable is the automated response? ;-)
