The first one is very nice but the Schumacher figure standing in the cockpit makes it look a bit odd. Also I thought that particular model was the Suzuka 2004 version.

The other one looks decent but the metallic red paint ruins the whole thing for me.

There actually a couple more 1:18 F2004's out there. The one I'm personally thinking of getting is -

And then there's this one too, but doesnt have that race-worn look to it and a bit more expensive - [www.grandprixlegends.com]

yeah they are Hotwheels/Mattel Paul.

I think the 'Chrome Red Paint' looks nice, a darker shade than the pinky orange shade of red the models normally have.

@ Karan, yeah it might be the Suzuka version, but I though it was the Spa version cos on the back of the box they have the pitboard they took pictures with at Spa which said in Italian "Simply The Best, 7 times World Champion".

I don't know if he really did stand up in the cockpit like that pose and point his fingers at Spa or Japan, so it could be either really.

EDIT: found the pics from Suzuka:

and another:

so the model is made to represent Suzuka with his standing on the car, but the box design is taken from the Spa race.

they haven't put the hot air chimneys on the sidepods on the Suzuka model though, and have only put 1 on the chrome paint model.

had a severe attack of LS-itis this weekend, and bought these 2 off ebay, arrived today.

I'd been searching for a Button B201 for a while, but could only find the 2001 showcar (2000 car with 2001 livery) which said Benetton on the engine cover where it says 'Jenson' and 'Fisico' on the proper B201. I wanted it cos it was the last Benetton, and I liked the angular and slanted front wing pylons.

I wanted the BAR because it was their 1st Pole, and its a pretty good looking car.

look at the 'JB' on the tyres, like when they spray paint/stencil the drivers initials in real life. and they've put little arrows on the tyres to indicate the correct rotation so the mechanics don't put them on, on the wrong side.

they've even put the correct aero devies on the sidepods, on the left side its the 'closed' version, on the right its the 'open' version, like the real ones they used in Imola:

Right sidepod:

Left sidepod:

I want to sell some of my models, so before I put them on ebay, I will post pics of the ones I want to sell on here, and you guys can have first pick.

right chaps, a bit of a mammoth post coming up.

here are the models I wish to sell. all have always been in the box/had the case on apart from taking the hotos just now, or if it needed to be removed from the box to apply decals, or to rotate the tyres so the tyre-manufacturers logos look 'proper'.

if you are interested, please PM me with your offer.

P&P for a 1:43 models will be £2 1st class recorded. UK members only please, and no silly offers like 50p please, I'll put them on ebay next week if they don't sell :). i accept personal cheques or Paypal if funded by a positive balance (i.e. no credit or debit card payments).

Minichamps 1:43:

Benetton B199 '99 Alex Wurz Limited Edition :

has a sticker on the side of the case:

-----------------------------

BAR Honda 005 '03 Jacques Villeneuve:

I have the decal set for this car, but never got round to applying them:

I bought this cos I thought it would be historic as JV's last F1 ride, but the silly bugger went and came back, didn't he?!

---------------------------------------------------
Williams BMW FW23 Ralf Schumacher 1st GP Win SanMarino April 15th 2001, Limited Edition 7001 pieces:

The case for this has a small crack on the back-right corner, but its not very noticeable, you can't see it from a direct front-on view:

--------------------------------------
Williams BMW FW25 2003 JPM:

has the groovy asymmetrical exhaust exit covers:

------------------------------

McLaren MP4/18 Testcar '03 Alex Wurz Limited Edition 1872 pieces:

-----------------------------

Toyota TF102 Allan McNish 2002:

---------------------------------------

Ferrari F300 '98 Eddie Irvine:

-------------------------------------

BAR Honda 03 '01 Olivier Panis:

====================================

Mattel Hotwheels 1:18

Ferrari F399 '99 car, Eddie Irvine, converted by me a few years ago. In fact, this was the first car I converted. Bought at the Motor Show in 2000, they didn't have any Schumacher Ferrari's, so I settled for this. I've never been 100% happy with it because it isn't the Schumacher version.

the fuel covers on both sides of the car open:

----------------------------------

Ferrari F2001 Schumacher '01 Monza Blacknose W.I.P

It came as NT, then I converted it to tobacco, then stripped it again.I haven't removed the decals off the helmet yet, but these can be left on and the new ones can be placed over the top to cover the marlboro:

I removed the rear wing element to give it a more Monza-like setting, but its still there if you want to out it back on:

It could do with a bit of a touch up on the front wing endplates with red paint, and obviously the nose needs painting black, so don't worry about the ghost Shell logo, it'll be covered in black eventually:

I have the decals which go on the front and rear wings, and provide the number for which drivers car you have got. It also has the red bits forthe helmet:

-----------------------------------------------

right, thats all of them, let me know if you're interested.

nice pics Karan. a good thing to do is put the models on the road, and take pictures from the road level, so they actually look real.

I assume no-one is interested in any of my cars to buy? I'll put them on ebay in the next few days.
