I assume you want the 1:1 actual sized version, so you can cart all your parts of cars around, to provide a back up for the Grand Prix team when they run out of parts.

is it in real scale? or random size? cos you could transplant a real drivers helmet onto it.

all scalextric stuff is 1/32... I'd assume you'd be able to get different helmets from a 3rd party somewhere, much like you can get the conversion sticker sets for static models. Just a guess tho ;)

look at this MS Monaco 2004 Crash model on Ebay:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

and Buttons black BAR test car:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

still haven't found a reasonably priced 1:43 MP4/17D Kimis 1st Win model. saw one going together with his Sauber, both 1:43 minichamps, with a reserve of over £90!! the bids went to £92, and still didn't beat the reserveand remained unsold.

tbh that schumi car looks poorly done. They need much higher res photos. Predamaged or RaceWorn cars is something Action have done for NASCAR models for years

Kahnes 2005 NExtel Cup Dodge Charger. His First Win :)

very nice.

that MS monaco one looks like a custom job to me, like they jst got a saw and sawed some of the nose off, and broke the suspension, and covered the whole thing in a black paint wash. but the driver figure looks different.

i don't think most MS fans would actually want a model of him in a crash situation, so i think its a one-off home-made jobby.

I bought the Renault in Montréal for 45 bucks (Hot Wheels, scale 1:24) and Gilles' helmet on ebay for £7.20, shipping included :o

Muks, was gonna say that about MS' car. It looks as if the person painted it, sew off the nose, ripped the wheel and glued it to the side. Then they just broke the head and put it to the side, sticking together again. And obviously they just moved the arms...

The Button car seems like a paintjob as well, I doubt any modelmaker would make one car only...

yeah i've seen the black testcar in 1:43 at torontomotorsport.com, but it says in the ebay listing that they stripped and painted a normal 006 and did it themselves.
