Very nice vids, Dean. But you should extend it with all drivers and make it a real advertisement video...that'd be really cool.

Do it in the style of the Snatch intro :)

GPGSL: S6 - TafuroGP Tester (14th) /// S7 - ART Tester (6th) /// S8 - Demon Driver (13th) /// S9 - Demon/Snake Driver (13th) /// S10 - Snake Driver (???) ///]

Decent thought there John - though my intention was to change the drivers around every race (apart from the top three from last year - they earned their place ;))

With the Press turning to him for a comment, Christel VXR's new signing adds; "When the opportunity arose to come here, I snapped it up as quickly as I could. VXR is a fantastic outfit and I'm looking forward to working with everybody here to push the team forward."
Wait a MINUTE ! Your not a rookie right? I remember you tested an Alpha at least once ! :p

"If in doubt, Flat out."
Distinct lack of MPR in the new video ;)

The second one is glorious

Now I'm even more annoyed that Ruben snatched that 3rd place from me in the last race *grrr*

GPGTV/FARKED presents the GPGSL Round 1 Australian Grand Prix

Finally we're back with the coverage from round 1, the weather has remained unchanged here in Melbourne which is really a bit of a miracle.
Ed Greenhalgh - AMR is on pole as we now cross to the GPGSL caravan track side for the broadcast.

The cars are on the grid, and the RD has his finger poised on the GO button.

The AMR gets away nicely, which is really no surprise. Ed probably has it well under control.

A few lockups as Carlos brings up the rear.

One of the MPR's runs wide. That's Charrel losing the plot right there.

Ed still out front, in first place.

Tommi in second, right behind Ed, although he'd much rather it were the other way around.

That would be Ruben in third, driving a Subaru, but you all knew that.

John Maverick - MPR currently in fourth place.

There's John Warrington in fifth place I think, I could be wrong, but then again I might be right.

Dean Kittleson back in sixth, a good four seconds behind the man in front, who could well be John Warrington.

There's Nick from SMS having a bit of a cock-up.

No harm done apparently as we take a long look at the TNR driven by Norbert sporting the elegant 'Car of Shame' livery.

The aero-dynamic Scala Banana piloted by Gianluigi Sivestre.

Michael Pedersen slip down the inside of Jack Hunsley for a nice pass.

He doesn't make it stick and remains the meat in the sandwich between the MAC cars.

The race leader posts a fastest lap. Actually his second for the race so far.

Daniel in the SCR, no idea where he is, oh wait, he's on the track.

Nick and Glen decide to make some contact, who will come off worse?

It's Nick, and he runs wide!

Nick now holds the wooden spoon for SMS.

Chris Hinz gets the better of Glen Sheppard into the corner.

Ooh, this could be dangerous.

And it is, as Chris loses the place back to Glen.

Ed posts yet another fastest lap.

And Michael Pedersen does even better!

No change in the top order.

What's everybody else up to, we''ll take a look at the rest of the placings.

On board with Daniel in the SCR.

Daniel is about to have an epic fail and lose two places.

How's that for a prediction!

Ed Greenhalgh still out front at the pointy end of the race. Pit window is now open.

Tommi leads the race and John is now in second place.

John now leads, but yet to call in for the cup of tea and sticky bun, catering by Stu's Mum.

The thought of that sticky bun proves too irresistible.

Ed has re-taken the lead.

Everyone has made the pit-stop.

Tommi in second.

And Ruben in third.

Nick Worseling has gone on fire! That'll teach him not to roll a fattie and drive!

With Nick out of the race with a disastrous oil leak, Marko inherits last place.

Charrell in twentieth, not quite last, but almost.

Carlos in sixteenth place.

Fourteen laps to go in this epically boring race, let's see where we are at with the standings.

Pit window is open again, more tea vicar?

Race leader is in the pits.

And back out in front with a good lead.

Only five laps to go.

Fastest lap from Carlos.

The penultimate lap, or two to go.

Another fast one from Carlos, he's on fire.

Ed stamps his authority on the race.

We have a winner. Ed Greenhalgh AMR wins the Australian Grand Prix. One driver failed to make a regulation pit-stop. A penalty will be applied to the official standings.

Stay tuned for the official results from the GPGSL later this evening.

Fantastic! Great to be fast straight out of the box with the new car. My first win on home soil as well which is brilliant as usually I haven't done to well there.

A pity that John pitted only once - it seems to happen to him every time for some odd reason!

That certainly ends a remarkable 2011 for me in the GPGSL. Hopefully my luck doesn't run out after midnight! Thanks to everyone who helped run or took part in the series this year!

Woo think that means we have a 4th in our first race with John :)

Pity about Charrel, but after a horrible quali, it was always going to be tough

@Ed, it is a bug that crops up all the time, especially with car 2, pretty sure it happened to us a few seasons back as well for Monil

Wow, great job guys, all the hard work over the off season has paid off and it looks as though we have joined the midfield.

Also, that is the teams first double points finish in history. Well done.

As a native Australian and team boss, I'll take you all out for a great night in Melbourne (drinks on me) and lets bring in the new year with a bang.

What a terrible race for me, I dont now why but the pace just isnt there.. With an off moment in the begigging to push for max result I wasted my chance of a points finish even more..

Not the season opening I have been hoping for myself, but a good result from John! Now lets focus on the next race!

Race starts: 141 | Points: 886 | Podiums: 35 | Race wins: 10

from 21 to 15.... it was a good race, but my pace was not enough, I hope better result next time...
Well done Ed! Fantastic start to the new season and a home win too! :) A full house of points, unless Carlos pipped you to fastest lap on the last lap.

Congrats to John too, good drive even though the AMR monkeys put too much fuel in :(

I've noticed this bug for a long while now, Ed had it a few times too when he was at TSS.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Webber Style start from me (and they said that pole sitter always loses places at the start in Melbourne!), but 8th is not so bad.

meh. A mixed bag for Christel really. Michael did well all weekend and I am pleased with his 7th place but I think Jack struggled all weekend with the balance of the car. Not quite sure how he finished last though.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

I wasn't expecting points for us, good to see we still got some :)

Wow... What a terrible performance from me, seemed to lose a bunch of places after both pit stops, first gear was broken so I couldn't get out of the box very well [/RacingDriverExcuses]

Nice work from my team mate though, I'll beat him next race ;)

Hmmm. Saw myself in 10th, challenging for position. Next time i see my name, I am waaaaaay down the field. Guess i had a spin..... bummer..... damn Car of Shame! Hope i don't have to run it again next race....LOL Terrible start to the season....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Someone is going to learn again how to make a good start before next race ;)
