GPGSL S7 [SEASON COMPLETED!!!] Rule Changes Announced For S8.

Posted by GPGSL
Wow, that sucked from my point of view. An early crash into the wall, after clearly hitting the marbles and been sent off the track. Driver error quite likely the cause..... bummer. Oh well, at least I am not last! Sorry to Snake Motorsports for throwing away a promising start to the race, and possibly some more points...

Race Day - Part Two

You rejoin us after that quick break as Aleksander makes a pit stop from 2nd place.

The Slovenian rejoins in 4th place.

Maverick looks to be stuck behind a very slow Warrington.

Jalving in 2nd.

Greenhalgh, still to stop, starts another lap.

Hinz goes off track.

Jalving makes a stop.

But has to wait as Kittleson goes by in the pitlane.

Jalving loses a massive 13 places in that stop.

Greenhalgh is the first AMR to stop.

Rejoins the track still leading.

Greidanus is liking his new tyres as he sets the fastest lap.

Aleksander has made up some time on Greenhalgh in the pitstops.

Maverick must be getting frustrated.

Maybe this time?

Nope.

Greenhalgh takes fastest lap again.

25 laps to go.

Looks like Warrington is making another one of his famous one stoppers.

There's quite a queue forming up behind him.

Warrington finally makes his stop.

Rejoins way down in 18th.

Kittleson takes Elleker for 13th.

Although Maverick has been finally unleashed after Warrington's pitstop, he has lost a place to Edwards and now loses a place to Hunsley too.

Elleker loses yet another place, this time to Vilela.

20 laps to go.

Oh no we have another retirement! Jalving's car has sprung a water leak.

Edwards in 4th is some distance nehind Greidanus thanks to Warrington holding everyone up.

Hunsley looks as if he may be catching Edwards.

Pedersen made a great start, but he seems to be struggling now. Johnson is looking to take his 8th place from him.

Cameras change to in-car footage of Thomas.

And misses Pedersen's drop to 9th.

Hunsley begins the second round of stops.

15 laps to go.

Stay tuned for part three! You may even see it tonight! :)

More disappointment for me :(

Sorry for the delay everyone. I couldn't get imgbox.com to upload the pics either! Turned out the jpegs were corrupted when I resized with Free Image Converter. I resized manually with Paint Shop and they all uploaded to imageshack no problem.

I hope to get part three sorted tomorrow, its getting late and I needs me beauty sleep ;)

I haven't no, but the problem turned out to be the files were being rejected by imageshack and imgbox.

Damn, not looking good.... :-(
Another 1 stopper. For christ sake

I feel a bit Vetteled here, Warrington wasn't quicker than the Safety Car in Valencia. I ruined my tyres with the try to pass him and now lost another place. Very disappointing. Also sad to see that Charrel had a problem with his car. This is again not a really satisfying weekend for MPR.

I could swear we applied for team boost...oh well, perhaps not. Mind you, it says a lot about how far the team has come that I am dissapointed with the result so far.

Yeah, that's actually something I'm afraid of for next season. Wouldn't be surprised if it his me then all the time

Race Day - Part Three

Part three starts as part two did, with an Aleksander tyre stop.

Maverick has moved up to 3rd, yet to make his second stop.

Greidanus is next to stop for a tyre service.

Warrington, on his one stop strategy is slow around the rest of the circuit, but due to the AMR's engine power, he's super quick down the straights.

Greenhalgh will have enough of a gap to Aleksander to make his stop and still be in the lead of the race.

Johnson still trying to take Warrington.

Elleker understeers wide and Warrington dives passed.

Elleker, frustrated by his earlier error, makes a late lunge to take back the position.

Greenhalgh makes his final stop.

JW gets its all wrong and loses another place.

10 laps to go.

Greenhalgh sets another fastest lap.

2nd placed Aleksander.

Horváth attempts to overtake Johnson.

EGR with fastest lap yet again.

Johnson still holds 7th from Horváth... Oops! No he doesn't!

Rodríguez like Johnson is finding the AMR hard to pass on the straight.

Carlos in Warrington's mirror as he tries again, but fails.

There is no overtaking spot on the twisty part of the circuit. Only the straight offers any chance to pass, but the Aplha hasn't got the power.

5 laps to the chequered flag.

Rodríguez is still trying to find a way past the AMR.

Kittleson has now joined the fight for 12th and the last point.

Carlos tries yet again.

Warrington has lost over a second a lap to Vilela since the Brazilian passed him.

Silvestre joins in the fight for 12th.

Here we go again.

Last lap.

Ed Greenhalgh wins the Hungarian Grand Prix and becomes the first driver to retain his GPGSL World Driver's Crown!

Aleksander finishes in 2nd.

Greidanus 3rd.

Looks like Warrington will finish 12th after all.

Congratulations to Ed Greenhalgh - Aston Martin Racing, winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

I second that...

very disappointing and sad to see Scala leave like this.
And again I lost another place in the pits. Very disappointing, more than 6th would have been possible here. The run for 2nd in in WCC is over, and so is my run for 3rd in WDC. Now we can just enjoy the last two races of the season, which has passed terribly quick if you ask me.
