Round 11 - Hungaroring - The Race part 1
Hello and welcome everybody to the race today at the Hungaroring. In yesterdays qualifying Kazuki Kamikaze took his first pole position this season ahead of Dave Brilley. Championship leader Aspenström will only start from 11th place, so it's a good opportunity for his pursuers today to close the gap. The weather reports all predict a dry race, and as the drivers are coming back from the formation lap, lets go straight to the track.
The five red lights are on
And here they go!
Good start for Brilley, and also for Silva
Kamikaze and Brilley go into turn 1 side by side, and de Boer already has passed Jantsher
de Boer has missed the braking point and hits Kamikaze's back
Kamikaze runs wide and de Boer spins!
Lets hope that this will end good
Further back Antunis had a great start, he's up in 12th already
Hunsley too with a good start, and he's at the inside what is a clear advantage as de Boer blocks half the track
Kamikaze now in 3rd behind Silva and the new leader Brilley
Not much space left for Kederer, but he manages to find a gap
This had to happen, McGregor hits de Boer, luckily no damage for both of them
Byrne just avoids a collision
And finally both can continue, with de Boer having lost much more positions than McGregor

He doesn't waste any time and immediately tries to pass him
He has the inner line in turn 1
and gets past

Nikolov seems to be faster, but Tafuro has the higher speed on the straight
de Boer already behind Edvardsen
One lap later he goes out of the slipstream down the start-finish straight
and passes him into turn 1
Brilley still leading
Jantsher in 5th, but Maverick is slowly closing the gap
Vukcevic has created a little gap to Aspenström
The train behind Silvestre gets a new member in the person of de Boer
Aspenström locks up into turn 13
and runs wide
he'll now have to wait for a gap to rejoin
but he doesn't! He rejoins immediately and crashes into Johnson!
What a heavy crash!

Jantsher already was about to continue, but the power spin he did had too much power, so he was standing a bit wrong again. The gap was gone then and he waited again (I guess you know that the drivers very often need pretty big gaps to continue in GP4). As Kamikaze left the pits, he missed the braking point and crashed into Jantsher. Other drivers who left the pits before had no problem with getting past, it was just bad luck I'd say.

Absolutely fantastic result. It's about time we had a good result.
Threw away the win due a freak accident, I cannot believe it! 
Happy to have gotten at least 2 points, where Sweden and Austria don't score - This was a massive oppurtunity though! And we showed we had speed, we must have gotten most overtakes this race!!!

We weren't very fast. But luckily we were racing at Hungaroring. Also, we had some luck with Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Japan falling behind. Not too bad in the complex.

Of course something had to happen...what else could I have expected. Very nice 6th place, possibility for 5th was there too and then I was shot again. Two clean races only this season and they resulted in a win and a podium. The rest of it is simply frustrating. At least I ended where I started and took 3 points. Not much but better than nothing.

The performance deadline for Round 12 at Estoril in Portugal is 18:00 GMT on the 19th April. Everyone is to send their performance request to the GPG-Nations-Cup account Please set the subject title of your message as "Round 12 -Estoril - (Country Name)". In your message please state explicitly how much you allocate for Qualifying and how much you allocate for the Race (e.g. Qualifying: 500, Race: 500). If you submit one number, qualifying and race performance will be exactly half of that value.
