GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Posted by GPGSL
Cool! Thanks for that, I just wondered how the rules were interpreted in case this sort of thing happens again! :)

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
May i add, a rule that would state drivers to lose theire perf points after an ban would be the best idea in my opinion. From next season onwards. Meaning that f.e. Paolo Tafuro gets inactive he can only return as a driver with the basic perf of 16200 of w/e the starters perf is...

Just thinking (A)

I like this idea...if you get banned you stay banned for the rest of the season but then you can come back the next year, but with the starter perf.

Either your playboy lifestyle caught up with you, Matt, or you're kicking your toys out of the pram so hard they've just gone over for a 3 point drop goal in New Zealand.

You say all the time that the "rules and issues" took away from the racing...those rules were always in place (the activity rule, for instance) - it's just that no one was willing to enforce said rules. Hence we ended up with the Christmas Day debacle last season, where it turned out that a ridiculous number of people had not posted a month or more.

You complained last season too - I remember it vividly. Heck, I'm sure a lot of others would've complained if they were as outspoken as you - and it wouldn't have surprised me in the slightest. To be used to merely posting when you felt like (usually not very often), only to find you have to post within certain time periods will feel restrictive.

However, my personal thought is this. The period between activity deadlines is 10 days, people - if you can't find five or ten minutes on one day out of ten to write a meaningful post for a series you're supposedly interested in, you need to take a strong look at yourself and consider how bad your time management skills are.

Either way Matt, enjoy your retirement. :)

i like your idea,

but personally,I would start being inactive for a 16200 perf ;)That would be better than everybody else at the start of the season ;)

R17 British GP Silverstone: Free Practise, the sequel.

Copeman takes 19th from Steer:

Rodríguez is now 7th:

Paddock is doing a bit better with 13th place:

Ingers steals Rodríguez's 7th place:

Gilson 8th now, great lap:

McGregor improves, but he's still dead last:

Davies is second fastest!

Somogyi 12th, but that won't help him much if I he wants to win the testers championship:

Rodríguez moves further up, 6th now:

Thomas steals 12th place from Somogyi:

Ingers with a great lap, but it brings him just 7th place:

McGregor improves, but still 22nd:

Davies holds 2nd place stronger with a super lap close to the fastest time:

Somogyi 12th again:

With Somogyi back in the pits, this are the standings so far:

Worseling 14th fastest:

Not for long, Paddock is 14th fastest now:

De Boer 6th fastest, very good lap:

Worseling fails to take 14th place back, 15th fastest:

Ingers improves with the 8th fastest time:

Standings so far with roughly 18 minutes to go:

Steer improves very slightly, but stays 20th:

Team mate Van Smirren is doing better with 14th place:

He is even 13th fastest now, woohoo:

Copeman improves, but stays last:

Silvestre 17th fastest:

Copeman can't get rid of last place:

With exactly 11 minutes to go, these are the standings:

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
Can I make this clear, Matt Houston was not banned! The rules concerning inactivity are as follows:

First warning = minus 20 perf penalty.
Second warning = a further minus 20 perf penalty and demoted to the test series for 2 rounds.
Third warning = Banned from any further participation in the GPGSL for the rest of the current season.

Matt Houston had received his 2nd warning, so was therefore given a 2nd minus 20 perf penalty and demoted to the test series for 2 rounds. As there was only one round remaining, his punishment was effectively demoted for 1 round. MPR had two team owners in their test team, so Matt couldn't be swapped with a test driver in the team.

Dan Paddock then announced that Matt Houston's contract with MPR had been terminated and was no longer with the team.

All perf penalties are wiped clean at the end of the season and all drivers, except team owners, are free to be employed with any team in any championship. Next season, Matt Houston is a free agent to drive for whoever he wishes with no loss of perf.

Last part of free practise will be posted this evening. Quality needs time. Hang on guys. ;-)

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
More drama in the GPGSL Paddock. i like it. I want this season to come to an end for me tbh since it just petered out so badly. You start bad your always chasing
Matt was also banned for the last race of last season as well, so he seems to not quite have the stamina to make it past 16 races ;)

X (@ed24f1)
36 hours of commercials so far in the Free Practise session... Geez, the GPGSL bank account must be bursting at the seems with all this revenue.... LOL;)
