John Maverick statement

First of all I want to congratulate my former team boss Stu Ingers for winning the WTC. Like Ed in their racing car, he showed an impressive performance this season and deserved to take the title. Very good show!

4th and 9th is also promising for ART. We were not so much off the pace compared to TNR, although it was likely that they would dominate the FP. I suppose they'll also dominate the qualifying and the start of the race. Then we will simply have to hope that they blow and give us a shot back for 3rd position in the WCC. Same is for me in the WDC, of course. I want this 3rd position!

Also, after I've been rather often asked about my future in the GPGSL, now that my team isn't able to enter, please await an official press conference after the race. That's all I have to say right now.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Good session for MPR with all these boosts.. Shows that our cars can have the pace on this track!

Looking forward to the last race of the year!

Awesome pics, only 72dpi with a small file size. What's the secret?

It's a painstakingly lengthy process. He'd tell you, but then he'd have to kill you.

But you'd probably be long dead by then. :P

(joke!)

TNR 1-2, so far so good...
Happy to drive the car in the free practise, found some good setups to my rocket car...
7th place is a good result, considering that we didn't use any boosts.

Congrats to Stu for winning the tdc :)

Qualifying

Hello and welcome to Northamptonshire, England and a little known circuit called Silverstone ;)
The qualifying session is about to get underway for the British Grand Prix. TNR have arrived in the paddock with a very large can of whoop-ass installed on each of their cars. They are going to fast, but could go pop any second.

Lets get to the action.

Champion elect Ed Greenhalgh is first out and first to set a time.

Whoop-ass powered Sheppard takes pole, but surprisingly not by much.

Kittleson takes 3rd, but hold on thats also last!

Horváth's engineers must have forgot to connect the can of whoop-ass as he completes his lap over a second slower than pole.

Worseling takes a creditable 3rd.

Edwards takes 4th, how long can he hold on to his position?

Cartwright with a very disappointing time, 6 seconds off the pace.

Elleker takes 5th, but the caption says 6th as Greidanus takes pole.

Vilela with an excellent 2nd place.

Silvestre joins Horváth in the over 1 second club.

Nice showing by ART as Maverick grabs 3rd.

Warrington uses Maverick's tow and takes a front row slot.

Aleksander struggles to match his pole sitting team mate Greidanus.

Johnson makes it to 8th.

TGP new boy Legge with a time good enough for 5th.

Karjalainen struggles to 14th.

Jalving in 5th.

Thomas takes unlucky 13th.

Hinz takes a great 9th place for MAC

MAC Racing will be pleased with 9th and 11th.

Last but not least, Pedersen with 8th.

Top 8.

9-16

17-22

Sheppard being held up by Hunsley.

Kittleson improves 5 places to 17th.

TNR's engineers finally get everything connected and Horváth takes pole.

Aleksander improves one place to 13th

Greenhalgh joins Warrington on the second row.

Cartwright struggles to 19th.

Johnson moves up to 9th place.

Edwards up one place 16th.

Silvestre drags himself off last up to 15th.

Thomas puts his team's +6 bhp boost to some use.

Second runs complete.

Sheppard still struggling with his cars extra power.

Jalving moves up 2 to 5th.

Elleker makes a big gain, up 8 places.

Hunsley pips him to 13th.

Maverick keeps up his challenge for 3rd in the championship with 5th place.

A fantastic lap by Karjalainen in the SMS, thats gotta put a smile on Maikel de Boer's face.

Cartwright still struggling at the back of the grid.

The camera's miss Pedersen's run as he took 3rd position.

Sheppard not having much luck as he held up again.

Edwards really finding life with the big boys difficult.

Aleksander finally gets it together and jumps from 18th to 2nd.

Cartwright also find's a decent setup and jumps from 20th to 6th.

4th runs over.

Stay tuned for the official results.

That was a stunning coverage, really really gorgeous pics.

As for me, well, here ends my first season. It's nice to be in the top 10 in my first year, and with one victory in my second session and in such a legendary track as Monza. My congratulations for the whole Aston Martin team, they will be everyone's target for S7, be sure of it. And of course, a big thank you for ART, for Stefan, John and Rodrigo who constantly supported me during the season and will surely do next year. I will do my best, I promise. For now, good luck with the race!

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Great quali for TSS fingers crossed for the race!
