GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Posted by GPGSL
Bad start of the weekend for us, hopefully we can do a better job in qualifying and in the race..

A wrong tyre choice determined my failure, and I think Stefan had a similar problem. Very sad with this result, as we had potential, but we needed a certain type of conditions (wet or dry, not 50-50).

However, if the conditions inprove (or get worsened) John and Rodrigo might have a chance.

with a bit of luck, we can achieve some points without boost
Not the best practice session but not the worst.
Sorry for Stefan and Carlos. Unfortunate that the weather was such a lottery. With only one possible dry run, it was difficult to set a good time. Well, it worked out well last time, and now it didn't work out. Next time will be better again. As for Rod and me, I simply hope the same as Carlos does. Steady conditions, either dry or wet - but wet preferred actually - and we should both have a chance for a solid top 6-8 finish.

Decent results again by the VXR testers, looking forward to my qually and race, hopefully double points

Wooot, I'm awesome, 7th is great !

LOL @reporter with his outrageous *cough* comment about Paolo Tafuro being a maffioso, i'd never dare *cough* to make such a public statement about him.

"If in doubt, Flat out."
GPGTV.org/farked welcome you to Suzuka, for the GPGSL Qualifying session.
With predicted wet weather a 75% chance today, teams have been greeted with reasonably friendly weather. There is light rain falling, but nothing for the teams to be too concerned about. Conditions however, are expected to get greasy.....

The weather forecast for the session ahead....

MAC Racing's Jack Hunsley is first to take to the track...

Hunsley is first to set a benchmark time for others to chase...

Ben Johnson soon beats that time...

TNR's Glen Sheppard then beats Johnson's effort...

Matt Houston then goes fastest...

All drivers head back to the pits after their first timed runs...

AMR's John Warrington has set the fastest time though so far...

Second runs in qualifying end...

TSS driver Marko Aleksander moves into 2nd place...

Just over half way through the session, positions 1st to 8th

Just over half way through the session, positions 9th to 16th

Just over half way through the session, positions 17th to 22nd

Vilela moves to 2nd on the grid....

Cartwright takes over 7th spot

Second place on the grid seems popular, as Ed Greenhalgh takes that spot...

With just over 7 minutes left, positions 1 to 8 on the provisional grid...

With just over 7 minutes left, positions 9 to 16 on the provisional grid...

With just over 7 minutes left, positions 17 to 22 on the provisional grid...

Conditions have detireorated, and just 4 cars are out on track, none making any improvements....

And the session ends, with Aston Martin Racing locking out the front row. Congratulations to John Warrington on pole position!!

Racing action should be expected within the next 24-36 hours, all going well.... (race HAS been run, just needing "editing" time, and commentary. Hopefully tonight, or tomorrow morning that will be done....)

15th and 19th is not the best... but its also not the worst, and the guys have been known to get points from obscure positions

A good result in Germany. Nice clean race and not any real problems.

Have qualified well in Suzuka and hopefully can turn this into a positive result.

Meanwhile, while the boss is away... something something i'll work hard
