GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Posted by GPGSL
Little question guys: Should I add some text with my Boost requests or is it enough with the subject?

Also same question as Stefan: Is it for Monza or Istanbul?

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps

Look at the calendar, first page. No Istanbul in it, so I guess Monza ;)
No text neccesary per sé, not for driver anyhow - since the amount of boost is always the same, for teams however an amount of BHP should be added

Thanks for the data Maikel, I'm still studying some little things in the Rulebook. But here's the couse of my confussion:

Quote
GPGSL
Applications for team and driver boosts for round 2, Italian Grand Prix, Monza are now open and will close 6pm BST Sunday 1st May. For team boost please use the subject "Team Boost - (team's name) - Istanbul", for drivers boost "Driver Boost - (driver's name) - Istanbul" Boost Applications must be sent to the GPGSL.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
There has been used a 'template', without paying enough attention. It should be:

GPGSL
Applications for team and driver boosts for round 2, Italian Grand Prix, Monza are now open and will close 6pm BST Sunday 1st May. For team boost please use the subject "Team Boost - (team's name) - Monza", for drivers boost "Driver Boost - (driver's name) - Monza" Boost Applications must be sent to the GPGSL.

Therefor, boosts send in now are for rnd 2, and that IS Monza

Sorry guys, I use a template to post the boost announcement. Because it's been a few weeks since I last did this and also because of my failing mental capacity due to old age, it looks like I neglected to edit the subject part, but at least I got the first part right though ;)

Qualifying has been run, with TSS's new livery ;) Results and screenshots later :)

@Ruben - I have Oakley's helmet mate, I'll send you a link later :)

For the people that are waiting for qualifying, have a look at the GPGSL Wiki:

If you have the time, try and make up your own drivers profile, it makes it a lot more fun if you can see everyones career etc..

Matt Houston was seen out in the paddock today during the testing session and we caught up with him quickly

Reporter: Matt, welcome to Season 6, how does it feel.

Matt: Honestly, I thought i wouldnt be here this season. After the end of last season i was really struggling for motivation. I had some decision go against me which got me down. But, I love racing, I love being a pin up boy and i love being in this series.

R: How do you think you will go this season?

M: I think we can challenge up the front. In testing, the car has been strong but we won't know until we get through a few races. We had a few bugs in the car during qualifying which hindered us and we couldnt do the laps we wanted but we'll get there.

R: It's nice to still have you here.

M: It's great to be here, and you just wait; it's gonna be a rock and roll paddock when i'm around!!!!

Matt jumps into the car for his first session of the weekend in Qualifying. We can't wait to see his antics this year!

...dangit. The bad qualifying form at the end of S5 seems to be back to bite me in the arse.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens in the race :)

After Qualifying comment

I must say I feel right at home at MPR! I was a bit worried, a new car, new type of tyres and a new team.. But all came right in place!
Ofcourse I had to admit I had a perfect lap, no other cars in the way.. And it gave me a nice 4th place! Only 0.035s away from pole position!!

Anyhow, the points are given away tomorrow, so we still have a lot of work to do! Looking forward to the race..

I hope my teammate can get a good result from 18th place! He had some problems in qualifying, lets hope he has more luck tomorrow..

wonderful coverage , Stu, love the line up presentantion.:-)
apparently I had some probs with the setup early in the session, but we worked on it, and managed to just miss Q3.
Melbourne isn't exactly my best track regarding the league as my top finish was 7th back at s2, so not worrying as for all season
Congrats to Ruben on out-qualifing me and Ben on pole.
Oh, and our new car looks lovely!

GPGSL career;
Current team: Team ShadowSubaru, Previous teams: MPR, Minardi
starts:100 Wins: 12, Podiums: 34, Fastest Laps: 14, poles: 12 Points: 708
winner of Belgian GP (s1), Australian GP (s1), Canadian GP (S1), Brazilian GP(s4, s5), Hungarian GP(s3), Italian GP(s3), French GP (s5,s7), Monaco GP (s4) and USA GP
Awful qualifying for myself...hopefully I'll have a better race after this disappointing result...
