GPGSL Season 6 Complete!

Interesting start to my career. Told the car would be launched last night, so I turned up for the event. No-one there. What's going on? Don't tell me I've signed for Moda!

I'm not trying to complain or anything, but do you think that some of the car's aero (at least with the SMD-ZG01) should be modified to make it more like a current F1 car?

Not necessarily the front or rear wings, but the bits highlighted in YELLOW below because it would look better without them



Oval = struts on top section ...... Middle bit = air out ...... Lower bit = aero piece ...... (all banned from 2009 onwards) as well as remove gaps on top of sidepods?

Send me the files and I'll really try to do it tomorrow morning before I depart. Yet I can't promise to finish it before I have to go. In this case I'd finish it Saturday in 8 days if nobody else wants to do it in the meantime.

Despite a media turnout of zero at the TNR launch last night, I did still reveal my helmet... To myself. So, here it is now for everyone else. Not that anyone cares.



By the way, Turbo Lover, when I send you my helmet, I've only got it currently saved as .tgas. I've never done this before, so is there anything else I have to do with it before sending you the link for the files?

If you do not know how to convert using slimtex, zip and upload and send the link to Ruben (Turbo Lover).

Ha, thanks guys! As much as I'm amazed at what some of you lot can do with helmet painting, I prefer a more simple design personally. Mine's actually just an evolution of what BATracer gave me when I first signed up and got a randomly generated helmet a few years back.

Mal, I'm afraid I have no idea how to convert the files for the game, so I'll just have to zip it up for Ruben. Thanks for the help. My team principal seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth. Maybe he was kidnapped along with the rest of the team and the cars on the way to our launch last night, so unfortunately I have no idea whether the team has signed any new sponsors for Season 6. Therefore, I've based my helmet on Season 5's car. Let's hope that doesn't result in any hideous sponsorship clashes!

Very nice helmet mate!!! I really liked it a lot. And you made me remember I could post pics of mine too (I honestly don't even know where my head is sometimes ). These are some zModeler previews, 'cause I'm Very Bad at rendering


I think it's a decent attempt, even though the main painting job was made with MS Paint.

I spoke to the TNR Team Principal a week or so ago, said he had the car basically done and ready to go, with a few sponsor changes. I have sent in a new helmet design, and when I get back from overseas in June, I will probably add a few of the team sponsors onto it.
And from a former Test Driver at TNR, to the newest test driver, welcome to the team Owen!!! Make sure you get the bugs out of the car for us would you - make sure those damn KERS systems are working (think TNR is the only team with it, so sssshhhh!!!! lol)
