I cannot complain about that at all it is great to get a couple of podiums in a row it really brings us into a respectable position in the championship.:) Loved the coverage as usual Connor :)
Right guys time to prepare for the next round. We move on to Malaysia and if you could all send your perfs to Icky by thursday please. Looking forward to delving into the mod myself :)

Just to clarify that, with Malaysia it's 3 rounds to go, isn't it?

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)

Announcement for Season 2 changes

Hi all i know we are reaching the climax of the first season which means it is time to look forward to changes for season 2. I know this season has been messy with the change of hands and we feel these ideas can bring some faith to the series for you guys who have stuck with it as well as the oppertunity to build on these ideas since there is plenty that needs to be done

1) Firstly with all the difficulties a calender would be constructed for next season with the dates for the deadlines, qualifying and race of each round to let you all know where we should be during the season

2) With this in mind to make sure the plan can be kept to i think an extra race director would be just what the doctor ordered. Also people are willing to guest Race Direct. To be sure that they are suitable they would run a trial testing session.

3)Track vote is something we would like to bring in for next season. Votes between tracks on nations participating and any spare slots can be given to any tracks people would like to see

4) For aesthetic purposes one car shape would be the best way forward which we will vote on as well

5)Something we just started which Turbo recommended will be carrying over where we post the perfs beforehand

6)Qualifying and Race distance will be reduced to 40 minutes and 66% respectively

7)Also on this note of the race weekend we are putting the feelers out on a sprint race with a reversed grid of quali. Wether you want this as part of the season, a fun feature that appears at the Race directors discretion or not at all is something for you guys.

8) The last one is the perfs for next season. Any alterations like improving car reliability or adding a variance for next season are something we are thinking about. The big one is a carry over of perf, we want an incentive for people to keep driving each season without feeling reset and maybe compensatory for when the GP4 gods strike. We are looking for ideas on this

All voting etc is not going to happen till after the season this is only to get input onto next year as well as say if you think any of this is terrible ;)

Sincerly Icky and TrueCrysis

I think we should get rid of the ghost cars, even if that means there are only 12 or so cars on the grid.

ok

Agree. The teams who are participating should have home tracks for extra motivation. The spare slots go for voting.

Agree.

Agree. That way we all could see if there is any mistakes.

No problem. I understand that full races and qualifying takes a lot of time for who makes the coverage.

Reliability should be equal to all teams. Maybe we could use some penalties (Lack of performance or reliability) for the ghost teams. Or... Two teams for driver.

No! We need someone to come last, besides our team. ;)

Macca: Well we are hoping that next season there will be no need as we will have as full grid as possible with active teams. If it gets to a point where we dont, then we will see

x_acto: thanks for taking the time to look over what we have suggested and comment on each one :)

first season is always a bit messy;-)

that's nice,i'm for it.

I can run some events sometimes(when possible),if you want;-)

agree with X_Acto:each team should have his track. What about doing something like this:
"I'm the owner of Team Italy, and as Team Italy is partecipating,an Italian GP has to be hold.As Team Italy owner I've the right to choose an Italian track to host the event. And my choose is..."

I think this is the best solution IMO.The nations that haven't GP4 tracks into their borders can always choose a near one(as Switzerland did with Dijion in '80s)or a fictional one.

i'm fine with the actual structure

all teams must start the new season with the same values.that gives a lot of importance to boost, and i'm fine with it:-)

My pleasure. I am really enjoying what you guys have done for the series so far. ;-)
Thank you!

-----------------------------------------------------

paolo: i was thinking along the same lines as that with the track, where the nations nominates a home choice of gp, but we will have to see whether people would want input into other nations choice, especially in countries such as mine where there is no track ;-)
also if you want the start perfs to stay the same, what would you choose as a carry over from season 1 to season 2, better reliability?
edit: oh and thanks for the offer of being an RD, you will be added to consideration ;-)
Thanks for your input :)

x_acto: glad to hear you're enjoying it :)

you can always go for fictional tracks like Rolling Hills,Uqbar,AMS Renault Complex,Marfield;-)

yes,would be an idea

my pleasure to help mate;-)

My GPGSL Career
Thanks for the responses so far yeh we will definately find some rounds. I am all up for home nations nominating their gps. The main reason this came up is because for example we might not have a monaco, silverstone, hockenheim, montreal etc based on what we have seen which are classic tracks

We will see how many entrants we get Macca before making decisions on that.

Also Paulo love to have race directors we will arrange something after we nominate the calender as to who wants what :)

I agree with this idea, I think this should be in the rules straight away.

Well, all the points mentioned so far seem to look great for me, that's why I won't write them all down again.

As for the home races, I also think that this is a very nice idea. And for the 'classic' races, they're already used in other series. Wouldn't mind to get a bit of a change in that in this series. And Apart from that, you already mentioned multiple nations without own tracks, for example Switzerland. I, personally, would most likely one of the neighbor-country tracks as a home GP, that could be for example Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Monaco, LeMans or whatever, depending on what the home nations from this country choose. Consequently I don't think that our calender would be totally without 'classics'.
