this you opinion and i respect them. now here is my opinion:
it's nice that people make cars for the old game and i made in the past many track layouts. this is hard and need a much private time. but the people are unfriendly and haven't respect. this adjustment of other people is not as yesterday. many modders know the trouble but they make new files again and again. close the work and wait or make cars for his own. that's my way. i make tracks only for me, wait of cars, and hey, it's so easy. if there are no cars coming, so make it for the own or you a later shape with new textures.
