Post Test-Qualifying with Matt Houston

After the latest test-qualifying session, Matt Houston was interview by Some Twit.

ST: You're well off the pace in todays session

MH: No, I am a Winner. I am Winning!

ST: You're 20th.

MH: I'm winning at being 20th aren't I?

ST: .....

MH: Hahaha sorry sorry, after being demoted to tester this race MPR and myself decided we will use this as a chance to start beginning to test our Season 6 car. Plus it was like several rolling chicanes out there; not the greatest conditions to get a decent lap it.

ST: How do you feel about being demoted to tester?

MH: How would you feel if some guy in the street came up to you, chopped off your man parts claiming that there was a new rule that you had to pee by 6pm and then only to find out that there was no rule about peeing by 6pm?

ST: I think we might end the interview there....

MH: Typically bloody reporters, don't like it when they dont get what the expect....

Matt was then seen walking into his motorhome...

GPGSL WDC Season 4

John Warrington lines up on pole. Like all drivers who will also take part in the official race series later, John will not score points towards the test series.

And they are away.

Warrington gets off to a good start.

Trouble as Dan Paddock runs wide at Becketts.

He's collected by Jethro Walters and loses a front wheel.

Warrington continues to lead.

Fastest lap and quite a lead for Warrington.

Walters takes to the pitlane for a new nose.

Pedersen in the mix.

Spins out at Becketts.

Matt houston brake tests Gilson at Abbey.

And spins off on his own.

Juliano Muller in 2nd.

Warrington with fastest lap.

Muller beats it.

Maverick attempts and fails to take Hinz.

Ingers takes fellow team boss van Smirren.

Hunsley takes to pass too.

Muller catching Warrington.

Hunsley takes van Smirren.

Jack Elleker in a lonely 3rd.

Dan Mills takes Hinz.

Ingers tries too.

Muller reeling Warrington in even more. The chase is on!

Sheppard fighting Somogyi for 12th.

Warrington's lead is being chipped away by Muller.

10 laps to go.

The lead is eroded even more.

Greidanus attacks Somogyi.

Warrington's lead is now less than a second.

Mills takes McGregor.

Its close up front as Warrington and Muller go through Becketts.

Muller gets about making a break.

Ingers chasing down McGregor.

5 laps to go.

Ingers tries to take McGregor.

Fails.

Elleker still 3rd.

Ingers goes for 6th

Gets it!

Hunsley now takes McGregor too.

Last lap.

Juliano Muller wins the Test Race at Silverstone.

Stay tuned for the official results.

Good 4th place finish for the boss, can't say I am overly thrilled with my 13th place finish. Still, it at least gave us some data for the main event coming up. TNR will be hoping for a decent run to finish off the season with, and giving us all some good momentum leading into the off season...

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
What a fantastic result! A perfect way to finish my time as a test driver, with my first win!
Not happy I got taken off

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Congratulations, Juliano!!! The first brazilian victory in GPGSL-4!!!

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
Being able to increase from 8th to 5th gives me hope for a good final result in the standard race later on. If we manage to put in a good qualifying performance, a Top 5 finish could be possible as well. So let's go for it!

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Well done Juliano !

I'm happy with 14th, could've had a much worse first race. Would've preferred being a few positions higher though:-).

Joseph Gilson :: Southern Cross Racing :: Race Driver
Race pace was poor.
