No way. Absolutely no way. The amount of failed overtakes that lead to collisions is stupid - something needs to be done about the Instanbul track if we are to use it in the GPGSL again. Disgraceful.

John Maverick at the official press conference after the race

It's a wonderful feeling to be here another time this season. I didn't expect that, honestly. It was a good start for me, although I lost one position I managed to keep Alexander behind me. I could go his pace and because of some incidents in front of me, I managed to get 5th before my second stop. But suddenly Alexander showed his true speed and attacked me heavily. It was obvious that he'd take me at the pit stop, which also happened then. But Silvestre's mistake brought me back to 5th. Anyway, I should thank Matt Houston for bringing me at the podium, without his action Alexander, that wouldn't have been the case. I'm very sorry for Marko anyway. He showed a great race and he would have deserved this 3rd position, although I think that it wouldn't have been enough to secure a championship chance, if I'm informed correctly.
Nevertheless, I want to congratulate Nick to the driver's championship. He showed an incredible speed through all of the season and deserves this championship. I'm yet very sad that he'll quit his career, but it is a glorious retirement for sure.

Finally, a few words to my teammate. He showed the real potential of VSM here with also finishing in the points. That was a superb race, he managed to stay out of any trouble, the same way like I did, and that was the key today for a good result. Well done, mate.
