GP4Builder 1.305 and the future

Hi all the GP4 men,

Here is time again for a new GP4Builder revision...yep, one more, but also maybe one of the last one.
Yep, you read me well, There's some time now I'm slowing down my work on GP4Builder. Not that I hate working on it and in fact I loved each and every hour (well, not each of them but nevermind :)) passed programming on it but it's a 7 (seven!) years work now and a lot of reasons are there to make me stop (not playing game that much anymore, loosing faith and will, having a real life...you named them).

So things are on the way to finish.
Oh, there might be one or maybe two new revisions in future because I made some heavy internal changes for this version and thus bugs will surely rise up quite soon and need some fix but I'm not sure I will add any new feature now.

Even if it's not my last post here (of course it isn't), I wish to thank everyone around that played a role in bringing this tool to its actual modest level, from my initial professors who teached me all the basics needed to start with programming, to every guys around who reported bugs and of course to every modders who used it to bring a new life to GP4.
Thank you all.

Lo2k

I repeat again, probably one of most better modding tools of whole racing modding scene.
For sure you'll not never forget for your gorgeus contribute to improve modding scene in GP4.

Good luck for your real life.

You have developed not only the finest track making/editing software around laurent, but also the the gp4 community in total. the cars/tracks etc generated/created with your collection of tools helped keep gp4 going well after many games of it's period long retired....seven years is testimant to your commitment to gp4 & though it may have seemed thanksless as the years went by..be assured your works were/are appreciated...

Thanks for all your 7 years work lo2k! We miss your effort!

I know that's not ellegant to ask this after you say what you say, but it's only a question, anwser if you want: about track side elevations that you say some time ago, you will put it in final version? Is there a possibility to make track side elevetions (like hills) with only mouse click? I know some games that have this type of terrain editor with mouse, maybe you can have a look at this and put it in final version.

Thanks again!!!

This tool has been one of the greatest things I have experienced in the modding comunity...and it's for free :)
I remember when it was impossible to modify layouts or make new ones still at the beginning of 2005...only updatzing graphical stuff was possile (as did Ricardo Lampert very well)...and today we can build any track we like with brilliant quality and features :)

Thanks for all this...I would have never started to build F1 cars...so luckily I had the chance to work on tracks instead :)

Thanks a lot for everything: without your efforts a lot of things wouldn't work as they do.
