Very nice track.

Track available at ROTE
With permanent links.

Cheers :)
I've not downloaded it yet, but judging by the image, it looks like you haven't restored the Hangar Straight to its proper glory.
In 1990, the straight didn't have that slight veer to the right, just before Stowe.

You're right. Hangar straight was straight until it was changed in 1996, I think.

yep i realized that too. will be fixed when i find the necessary time (as well as some other things)
btw @berger fan: thanks for mansell´s 90 pole lap. that one was very helpful for the trackcams ;)
When I look at your track "air" view it seems that Becketts is the same place as the new one.
Here is a sketch of them both with the (previous from 2000) new one in grey, and the one from -87 to -90.
You can still see some tarmac of the old part at Becketts on Google maps
Right or wrong Greg?

i`ll have a look into that asap

Forecast for version 2 with the correction of the curve, just before Stowe????

Track-Packs 1988-1991-1993-1994-1995-1997-1999
n00bino, any chance of making the 1975-1985 version with the Woodcate chicane just before the pit lane entrence? It is a quick right then left and is last turn before main straight.

you want a date i suppose?

difficult to say, my exams start on july 4th and finish on 21st, so most probably after that time.

@richard j: i´ll think about that idea

n00bino, if you did the 75-85 vesons we would have almost all versions other than the original layout from the 50's.

I'm not sure what profile of Copse you have at the moment, but the old Copse was a lot more of a round curve, than the kink it it today.

F1archives * Facebook * YouTube
copse remained more or less unchanged from original gp4
i´m quite happy to get all these information so i can improve the track quite a lot :)
GP4 Copse was close to the 1991 version(when the track was changed to more like the current layout), but the 1990 Copse was more like this:
Red line denotes the 1990 layout, Green the current.

Its like you say Greg.
I had a look at this site and copy that layout on to your picture and it fit almost 100%

thanks, it`ll be helpful for sure
update:

silverstone is still on my list but i found some motivation to go back to estoril, too. i´ve competely rebuilt the layout (as used till 94 without the chicane) now with elevations, banking and in general more accurate i think. pitlane is not finished yet, when it´s ready i´ll upload it so you guys can have a look at it and give some feedback.
