Something called double vertices seems to be the main issue. You can see it on the tyre treads for example (front at the top, rear at 9 o'clock, bit clearer in object view). Blender has a feature to remove these doubles, but it can mess up the overall look of the car (which it did for this one). Means I have to go at each one separately. Maybe there's an easier way which I don't know. Already have smoothing applied, else the low poly really would stand out. Tyres, bargeboards and airbox area seem to be the parts mostly affected here.
Never thought about modifying the cars with 3DSimED, mainly got that for AC to extract textures and be able to preview my skins easily.
Renders are done with Blender as well btw
Edit: smoothing normals in 3DSimED fixed a few parts, but at the same time also created new issues. Maybe I didn't have the right settings, was pretty much clueless about what I was doing.
