22/09/06 w300 Belgian GP Practice

The famous unpredictable weather of Spa-Francorchamps struck again today in the w300 free practice session. Overnight rain had led to a damp track at the start of the session and gave teams a headache over what tyres to use. Most of the teams went out on inter's but there were a few drivers who took a chance and took slicks, which soon payed off once a drying line started to appear on the track which saw yermo rbr at the top of the time sheets for a short period.

Although just as the times were getting close to the 2 minute mark, the conditions struck again with the rain to fall in parts of the circuit. Again team boss's were left with the decision on what tyres to use. The Intermediates were faster in the first sector but were painfully slow in the dryer sections in sector's 2 and 3.

Overall the conidtions led to some surprises in the times although there were strong performances from EA B&Q, Senniha and Ebi Motors once again.

Ebbie Attard has instructed his Public Relations Team to inform the world that he is on his way to a likely championship victory.

Hugo Largetrousers, never one to be blinded by facts or reasoning certainly agreed. "Ebbie Attard has no points, but what he has is the trousers!" he told the International Trousers Convention in Aldershot.

Given the laziness of Ebi Motors staff to bother checking the results, it was concluded months ago that championship victory was an absolute certainty.

Greg Alexander, who once recommended Frank Williams 'upgrade' from Honda to Judd engines, added his opinions. "This isn't 1991! No, NO! Where is Nigel? No 'tache! No 'tache! 'TACHE!" he screamed before throwing himself at a gentleman with a moustache.

w300 Belgain GP Qualifying

Todays Qualifying again had some unpredictable weather which really influenced the grid for tomorrow's race. At the start of the session the track was dry in most places although it was not long before it started to rain. Some of the drivers took advantage of the dry track early on by going out for a run to set a time.

Many teams believed that the weather would brighten up later on in the session, although they were caught out when the heavens opened and caught many teams and drivers out. They were a good 10-20 seconds slower than Greidanus who set the pole lap in the dry(ish) conditions.

This meant that some drivers were out of position on the grid and may lead to an interesting race tomorrow as some of the faster cars battle though the field, although you never know what the weather will be like at spa

Panker would qualify 6th after a good lap

Turnbull once again doing well

Hell <naughty word removed> yeah, my first pole on a such legendary track, hope i stay out of trouble by La Source at the start and grab my first win.
