F.A.C. GP4 Mod 2006 | released

I already made my 2006 season (couldn't wait...), but so far it's for personal use only. Still there are some parts missing:
new renault,honda, helmets and the tracks. But the old cars and helmets work fine for me, as I'm racing the new season!


Anyone any guess when the above mentioned cars will come out?

i want to tell you that the mod is finished and the release is not for away

We said that the Mod should be an easter egg and it's available about 10 PM this evening.

why don't you upload the mod to Rapidshare or yousendit? because most ppl of the community don't speak german and i think they can't register then. You're asking for permissions to release the mod, but then, no one can download it without registering?? nice easteregg :-$ think about to upload it to another place, that's a good solution.

the Mod too download must one not German can, information and Installation Readme to the Mod are with us in the forum also in English.

Problems are also answered in in an English manner

i would like to say: take some german lessons!

tried this mod and it is..........not bad. but it have its minor flaws.
maybe its my pc and the config of gp4, but a couple of things arent right.

first the goodys.

the mod delivers all new tracks!
cool background-menu-movies.
cool new menu
easy installation-exe
well positioned cockpit view

now the bad ones

tracks

- did not trying all tracks yet, but f.e. monaco is the old layout
- in box you got some walls in front of you

cockpit

-it seems only one steering wheel is available (ferrari) and this one is setup wrong (the info panel is somewhere on the wheel, not in display)
- a lot of cockpits are messed up because of wrong textures/wrong placement of them

physics

- the cars seems to be nailed on the track. too much grip, but good fights are possible.

cars

- they dont have all new 06 cars. the mclaren is missing. the super aguri looks like crap in tcam

hud

- the guys created a new hud, looks not bad, but its not my taste. looks like an arcade racer now. need for speed style. someone will like it, iam sure.

overall, good work guys, but you have to put a hand on it. its not as good as tonys 2005 beta mod. so my advice: keep waitig for tonys mod. otherwise download and test it, its worth to have a look at it, but dont expect to much.

* References about the Mod *

The Mod is very High-detailed and you need a very good hardware--> minimus are: 2 GHz CPU, 512 MB DD-Ram -- better 1024 MB and a GeForce 6600 GT

There aren't any low-res textures in the Mod and the new tracks are in high-resolution too.

You can find a folder "Extras" in the Mod, in this folder you have many Trackfixes and one-fun-track.

There is Melbourne in Slot 1 but if you wish you can choose another track (at the moment there is Bahrain as fix-track installed), Surfers Paradise or Istanbul are also available. Just start the install of the Track you wish. You can do this as often as you wish.

Not all tracks have the right pitboxes and therefore we have a reason:
Furthermore we get new tracks (we have permissions for upcoming tracks), it isn't clever to update the old tracks and it's to much work. Next track for example is Nürbur 2006

We have to wait for permission of Car-updates from the original authors too, there are all cars of 2006 in the mod only Toyota and McLaren are old ones

All other things are in order of 2006 and also the GPaedia is updated to the season.

If we have the assistance of the modders there are new updates avaiable soon.

We want to say thank you again to all modders which given us the permission to use theire things.

We havn't done the mod for ourselves, we only want to give the community a high-detailed mod of 2006.

Your can choose your personal settings for cams.

Just press the "Page up-key" on your tasta and switch position wit the numlock-block

Press "D" during your first Race (or Train, etc)
If you do this you have great TV overlays in intermittents of time.

e.g. Classifiction or Pitstops of other drivers.

yes i replied all done....cause first time i managed to download about 26mb but then it stopped for some kind of reason....when i tried to download it again using a download manager it is giving me that error....

i hope you can find another place to upload the mod
