Hi There
Thanks for that mate, I found this thread after posting the other so better served here.
Anyways I also worked out what to do in regards to my query.
The gpxsat.ini contains the text that is displayed. I simply deleted the German from that file and it is working a charm.
I'll give my brief impressions of the v2 of the patch (disclaimer: I have only recently re-installed gp4 after a 3 year absence. Therefore this is the first mod i have experienced and I have not seen any of the mod scene since aound 2003:
The installer is in German, but it wasnt to hard to work out.
Other than that everything else is in English (excluding the gpxpatch info see above)including the menus, names etc.
The loading screen's look really good, with 2006 images.
All the driver's are included and the menu pics are pretty good.
The car's seem to be of very high quality and up to date with midland, toro rosso and super aguri nicely included. The maclaren and I believe the toyota are 2005 models but once installed i was able to update the mac with a minimum of effort via wadupdator.
The tracks seem to be very good and up to date , with bahrain and shanghai included.
From my point of view it is a excellent place to start as far as the 2006 season goes. It has all the new teams and 2 of the tracks, in the correct order. the fact that it seems to be able to be updated pretty easily is also a big plus for me. Others may take issue with some of the content but I consider to be good enough quality to be worth the effort of d/ling and installing.
If anyone has any other questions, i may be able to give some answers.
Cheers
jordy
